I have an 05 evo 8 and while completely stock I ran a 13.5 @98 mph on our crappy 91 octane here in Phoenix. Now I have a K&N drop in, and HKS cat-back and soon to go in HKS DP and generic 3" TP. With these mods what do you think I can expect to run here? And my stock time MPH seems SUPER low, was my ECU just backing off timing like a ****, or what? Next time I run I think I will throw in a few gallons of 100 octane to see how much that helps.

 

You are in high heat at high elevation, that time is pretty much on par with other Evo's in your location. You can expect to run 13.1 at best or so. get a tune and run 12's.

+1 on the tune, you will get the benefit of the mods. You tune it and should see ur time go to maybe 12.7. Take it 2 the track on the winter lol

 

Oh, when I ran it stock it was while it was still cool out. It wasn't hot or anything. I was thinking of just doing the mail in flash from dynoflash. That should work out well right? Do they adjust the boost level though, or just the air/fuel curves to make your setup run to it's potential?

 

TTT. Lets get some more opinions about my MPH then. Shouldn't it have been a lot higher? Shouldn't adding some 100 oct. make me run even better?

 

I like the exhaust and dp choice I have been very happen with mine. I say with out a tune similar driving and condition maybe .5 faster. Get some cams, mbc, custom tune, and a fuel pump and your knocking on the 11's on a race gas 110 map. Enjoy.
