One of the locals here went 11.51 at 118.01 with basic mods as well except he had a flash+afc combo. 9.8 turbine housing but he had ebay header/o2.

He has severe weight reduction in his body though.

Very nice '60 and driving. Someday I hope to see a low 1.6 too, best so far has been a 1.68. What launching technique are you using?

I can't speak for James, but I typically launch at 5500 rpm, sometimes raising it to 6k if the track is super sticky (like NOPI), full throttle. I let the clutch up on a rising rate curve. Slowly at first to pull up all the slack in the divetrain, a little faster to get the car rolling, and then a little faster yet as it nears full engagement. I usually have the pedal all the way up just as I aproach the shift point. The car consistently gets low 1.6s even in cool weather when the track isn't preped (street nights). I used the same type of clutch (ACT 2600) and same technique in my 2g, which also ran low 1.6s all day with a best of 1.55, on all season dunlops. It took a couple years of racing weekly to learn the technique, and it's hard to even describe what I do, I just do it. Get as much seat time as possible, and anyone can learn to cut mean 60 foots.

I've got a question about these trap speeds though. James runs in the high teens, which is not terribly uncommon, and obviously drives the bag out of it to get mid 11s. But how do people like TTP make a 8-9 mph jump to 127 mph? I'd be inclined to think it wasn't even possible, but I believe that was also Curt Brown's trap speed. What's the secret? Curt's car isn't light enough to make it all up there. Is it possible that driving has THAT much of an impact on trap speed?

James, when I get the new tranny and twin disc in next week or the week after, you're taking a run in my car. If we can't make it to the track, I'll pay to dyno both our cars to see if the power is the difference, or if it must be something else.

It says 10.5 hotside in James's signature.

He's not on here to brag about his times, I don't understand why you guys need so much info like you don't believe him.

What is his exact cylinder pressure on each cylinder. I want pictures of his spark plug on the #3 cylinder. Please send a sample of the fuel from the day of that pass for analyzation. Please also post pics of the inside of his hotside and flapper door photo against a ruler.

Oh and also tire treadwear. Take a photo of the "penny test" showing the treadwear in his tires.
