first official drag run

Took the evo up to capital raceway tonight and ran a 12.5. I was expecting between a 12.2 and 12.6 so I'm not entirely disappointed, but I was hoping to go faster. I only did one run due to the fact I had to drive home about 50 miles and I didn't want to toast my clutch. I'm pretty sure if I had a better clutch it would have been a little better. My 60' time was a slow 1.80 and I crossed the line at 111 mph. I used launch control and got off great, hit every shift perfect and ran through the finish in fourth at about 7100 rpm. The temp was cold at 49 degrees and I'm running about 24 psi.
Any suggestions or tips on how to improve?
P.S. My reaction time was .070.

These IX's are killing me. Nice run and just work on the launch. 1.8 is good for your first time!

Yes I was using 93 octane. The one part what I didn't know what to do was close to the end where I was trying to decide weather or not to shift into fifth or stay at 7200+ rpm crossing the line. Would I lose more time because I'm out of the power band or shifting into fifth? When you guys use launch control do you just let the clutch out quickly or slowly ease off or in between?
