First time at the track.

So i decided to take my 05 evo RS to the late night drags at PIR since its the last weekend to race before they close for the year. My only mod is a turbo back exhaust. I was quite surprised my my times. My best was a 12.697@107.18mph
This is how the rest of the time slip looks.
60' 1.824
1/8 8.106
mph 85.30
1/4 12.697
mph 107.18

Has anyone else got this good of a time in such near stock condition? Just curious, i'll figure out how to post the time slips if anyone has any doubts. I was honestly expecting to run low 13's at best, this was a total shock.

What were some of the other times and traps you ran?

Yeah, great times, but the splits don't match up. A weak 1.82 60' will not pull a 12.6 with only a low 107mph trap, and a 107mph trap is not very likely with only a TBE. I'm sure your timeslip says what you wrote, but I have several timeslips with bogus times and traps myself. The timers aren't always right.

That would be nice, including the ones I go to, since they aren't always right.

That time does seem kind of wierd considering you only have a TBE.. Either you have a monster of a car or there's something were missing. Are you tuned? Were you running race gase or anything? How much boost? Need a few more details. Can you post the slip?

I ran a total of 8 times. I ran 4 13 flats, a 12.90, a 12.72, a 12.69, and then one horrible run where i missed a gear and had a bad launch with a 13.6. And as for the 1.82 60' time, i'm not on the stock advans, i have some crappy continental tires, i don't think it's possible to get too much better of a 60' time. I'll most definately post the slip when I figure out my scanner. Oh and by the way, yes, TBE is my only mod, theres not a single thing else done to it. And it was on 92 octane which is the best we have in oregon at the pump. Keep in mind that it is an RS, which tend to be one or two tenths of a second faster. But yeah, i wouldn't have believed these times had i not ran them.

No, the RS is not one or two tenths faster. It has the same power, and it is only 46lbs lighter than the GSR and 68lbs lighter than the MR. That's about half a tenth.

You can cut better 60's on all-seasons than on Advans. Advans have stiff sidewalls, so they are great cornering tires, but not great for launching due to limited sidewall flex, so don't fool yourself there. Cold temps do help, but not THIS much.

the no wing is probably good for another tenth(aerodynamics). I'm just saying what the slip says though, you could be right, the timing could have been off.
