I've never seen an Evo with stock turbo make power at 7800. I'd have to see a dynograph to believe that. The turbo simply can't make power that high...it falls off drastically after 7k and sometimes earlier if you're running high boost.

I agree with Warrtalon...... the stock turbo does not make power "all the way up to 7800"

I'm gonna have to call BS until Boltz provides a time slip and a dyno graph. If you prove it, good for you. Almost 118 MPH trap just smells fishy if you meet the criteria (stock cams, stock turbo, no standalone full weight...)

I was there to witness it, I'm sure he has the slip to prove it. I've seen his setup and he isn't hiding anything, just a factory freak.

I haven't had the chance to get runs in with the new tune. It went 12.10@113.7 on 93 octane @23psi on the old tune. With the new tune and around just under26psi spike it holds torque longer, it makes 20ft/lbs more across the midrange. Power is up 8whp uptop and it doesn't drop off as hard. This is a low reading mustang dyno and the smoothing factor is about as low as it gets.

At about a 28psi peak spike on a 100octane map it ran mid 117's all day long and on my best run 117.9 (while hot lapping) When I ran my 11.85.

Cool Boltz.

You did also tuned for 100 oct and high psi. Id say that changes the game some. Im not tuned for 100, just filled up with some and upped 3psi (no fuel or timing changes on my part).

Old graph - but my tune has not been changed...

Those numbers seem very low for that boost even on a MD Dyno. Even with the filter Filter Value 10 your graph looks very rough. I agree, your graph does show it holding the power up top but the weird spikes are not healthy for the car

The link is my numbers from yesterday (now has cams/ 750cc injectors) on a MD chassis dyno. Look at how smooth my graph is on the same brand dyno and with the same Filter Value

Does TurboTrix have a Dynojet?

Interesting that #2 & #3 in this comparo both had Turbotrix flashes @ the time

It does look a little rough, but it is smoother than than the original custom tune with less boost so I don't know what else to think. The car runs like a raped ape, my timing is very precise with a gradual consistent ramp, the A/F ratio is dialed in very smooth, my coolant temps are under control, and I have maybe a single knock count during 1 to two sample cells in the log.

I didn't tune for 100oct, I just had martin add like 3* of timing to my custom tune at the time and upped the boost. The car would have run into the 11.7*'s if I wouldn't have missed second gear on my best 60 (by far) of the day.

Would be nice to know where all this power comes from, though. It really is inexplicable.

Im down for discussion if anyone comes up with any ideas. Just to reiterate what creamo said before, Im not hiding anything

And just for reference, the above dyno graph would be around 325whp on AMS' dynojet, after a comparo of my old tune on both dynos

325whp on a Dynojet would only trap 111-112, though, unless there is significant weight reduction.
