I didn't realize that 2 of the fastest were right here in Michigan & I had the pleasure to run into both of them in the last 2 weeks Cool!

Well with only 315whp I managed to run a 113.78 on my quickest run and 114.3 on my fastest run. No weight reduction. I might have taken out the spare tire and scissor jack but I did have some extra weight with the computer and other junk, I can't say for sure (if the spare was in). I forgot to mention I cut a hole in my trunk so fred flinstone can pedal away. Hes ussually good for a mph or two. j/k

I know for a fact that Boltz's car is full weight. I also was a witness at the track that day.

I went 12.07 @ 111mph with a K&N Drop In, Buschur 3" cat back exhaust (stock cat), manual boost controller, and DynoFlash. I was running VP 105 unleaded and had the Exedy Twin Disc Cerametallic (not the HD). I kind of wish I would have added the DP/cat delete and an intake to see how fast I could have gone...oh yeah full weight with exception of the spare tire. I dyno'd 259whp/265 on a Mustang Dyno at RS Motorsports.

Here is the slip:

Wish I would have been the other car I do remember the driver too. Very cute girl probably in her early 20's there with dad. Nice old muscle car that was white.

Here is the link to the video:

I am going to cecil county on friday..Last time out I managed 93mph in the 1/8th and 12.0@113.9 on a botched run with a race gas mix, only run I got with the fuel mix..
I have since took the snow tires off and installed 245/45 RE01-R's..I am planning on running 116 octane with peakl boost around 26 psi, plus I can drive around the water this time..We'll see, I'd be happy with an 11.9 of any kind..

I have had a lot better luck pulling through the water just to the other side, stutter and burn out until the car hooks up. This gets all the sand, dirt and rocks of the tires, heats them up a bit, and usually I will cut low 1.6 60ft times.

I tried the same thing that night, got bad wheel hop and had to shut down. Possibly due to the snow tires. I am not comfortable with doing this because I am still running my stock orig clutch with about 150 passes on it (25k), can't let her get to hot..I am pretty sure my clutch is on it's last leg, it has to be, but I still have not felt any slipping when it is in normal operating temps..I have been able to get mid 1.6's without a burnout going around the water so if I can still do that I am happy..

This is my last trip to the track before I install my GSC s1's and exedy twin disc..I know if I put theese cams in my car the clutch will not hold up for tuning most likely, I just hope this twin disc will last me awhile, my driving habits are very clutch friendly..

Also: I am guessing that 93mph in the 1/8th on a stock turbo should net about 116 in the 1/4 on a 5 speed..Any guestimates or experience on what kind of traps MR guys are running on stock turbo with this kind of 1/8 mph??

I understand your worries with the stock clutch. Mine was gone after 3000 miles as I am not to friendly with clutches

In my experience, the MR's that I have seen trapping 93 in the 1/8th usually go around 113 in the quarter due to 4th gear running out.

Hey guys, I've been following this thread and thought I would chime in. This seems like a really cool challenge. and since I'm not planning on changing turbos anytime soon, would like to play as well.

I've never really been into drag racing, but I'm an avid autocrosser. Plus I've never had anything really worth taking to the strip.

A few weeks ago my buddy and I went to see what we could run since are cars seem on the street to be pretty evenly matched.

My best time with inken intake, uicp, 3" dp, test pipe and cat-back and base flash was a 13.2 @ 102 - 1.8 short time. We only got 3 runs. But i was hoping for alot more.

This past friday we went back and tried again. I added an mbc, fuel pump and got retuned for 21psi.

After a string of low 13's i almost called it a nite. But decided on one more pass. I was treated to a 12.8 @ 108 with yet anoter 1.8 60 ft.

I was pretty happy, but know I have a long ways to go to catch u guys.

I'd love to have some advice, I'll try to dig up my slip for you guys to analyze. But If I remember my 1/8mile times are usually 8.4-8.5 @ around 84-85mph.

I know I was able to drop a lot of time by working on shifting faster. My 1-2 shifts are usually really slow, I can't seem to do it quickly without grinding or missing a gear.

I went to the strip again a couple weekends ago. And could only hit a 12.9 @106. Most of my traps that day were 106, mostly 13.0 and 13.1's.

I've tried everything on the launch to get below 1.8 short times. I'm running a stock clutch and 17x9's with 275/40 Sumitomos. And was getting some pretty bad wheels spin last time I was at the track.

So what do you gurus think?
