Gainesville raceway, 1/6/07 on new tune
t was stupidly hot out, 82 degrees, 80% humidity, it was like late spring, i kept running 12.4s @110-111. I did manage a 1.74 60' which is my best so far.
i raced an auto C6 corvette and he ran a 13.5 @ 106 or so and he told me normally he traps 111-112. Everyone seemed to be running kinda slow. The only other import there was a VW Golf running 15.xx
here's a video mcwop beats a new C6 Vette
the last time i went on my old tune it was dry and 40 degrees, how much of a difference does 40 degrees usually make? I hope the temp/humidity played a big factor on why I didn't improve at all.
i did manage to cut a 1.74 60' which is my best thus far.

40 degrees and a ton of humidity can make a noticeable difference for sure. I'm not quite sure from your first post if you're comparing apples to apples runs, but assuming the same mods it would not be uncommon at all to run at least a few tenths slower with a temp. and humidity change like that. Now if you have done a series of mods or somehthing that should have caused you to be a bit faster and you're actually slowing down then it could be something going on with the car.

Yeah, all things being equal besides the tune, I would think the big weather difference is why you didn't pick up but stayed the same. I would dare say if you hadn't added the tune you would have fallen off with the change in weather.

i was just making sure, in the summer with the old tune i only trapped 108 so i figured it was the same kind of situation. I had just never experienced it before.
I'll make sure to make it down on a day or night where the temp is a little more favorable.

I have only been running at the track for 2 years in my Mustang, but I always make sure to check the DA with the track if they have it or check temp. and humidity while I'm at the track and just write it down in a log or at the top of my timeslip. Now that I spray my stang it makes less difference since I carry my atmosphere in a bottle, but for FI & NA there's a noticeable variance with a 40 degree swing and 80 some % humidity.
