What are you doing for weight reduction? That's awesome for pump.

you need to get that boost to stay up at 24psi, time for some more mods LOL. not right on having it drop so much from 24 to 20 should hold 24psi all the way. one could be big front mount. may want to just throw on the stock one and see what happens with boost.

i say next mod to go with an election boost controller. see if you can get that boost to stay more neutral. one will pick up a lot of power also will be easier to tune and keep a nice tune thought winter time.

BR and AMS wrote up on them i know you read about them, time to try them out.

Already got one. I am using a MAC solenoid for boost. It uses the stock ecu, which basically is an electronic boost controller. Been using that for a couple months now.

I just ordered a JDM MAP sensor which will make setting boost even easier and will help me to try and get boost to hold longer since it will be easier to tune it.

Once I hook that up, and I also address the knock I am getting from the twin disc clutch I will be ready to go back to the track.

Hopefully with better boost, no fake knock, and some practice launching I can get the times down to the 11.5's

The other nice thing about the JDM sensor is it makes it so you are looking directly at boost instead of load - this means that in theory your boost should be the same in any weather, which would be very nice.

very good keep every one posted with your new setup and see how it works. sounds like it should be a keeper!!

and i think you can run better then that. if anything we will throw on my rims and tires and see what ya can do. get them 60ft down to 1.5

and with knock with my clutch i never got knock from it so its a little werid your picking it up? you sure its 100% from the clutch.

I can't be 100% sure it is from the clutch but I think it is.

I get knock on the two step when I used to not get it. When I flat foot shift I get like 10 counts of knock during the shift, but if I shift normal I don't get this

Also I never used to get knock during the shift before the clutch.

So I can not really ever say 100% but I am almost sure, and I have another tuner who agrees with me, that it is most likely the clutch.

Right now I am trying to learn how to write code for the ECU to see if I can make a patch that will turn of the knock sensor when the clutch pedal is pushed in (two-step or during shifts)

LOL i dont think its the clutch i think its something else.

remember when you did the clutch you did more then that. and also the more you take apart and reinstall things dont go back as to they were. check the gap on the exhaust system the hole way back. could be hitting the motor or trann, t-case, oil pan and making the knock. also when you shifting the drive shaft can be moving so hard that its setting off knock. you can always try and set the knock senors up more. and see if fix for temp and see if you get it.

I have the stock clutch and I too get high knock counts during a no lift to shift.

The stationary limiter knock can be eliminated by gradually getting into the throttle instead of mashing the the pedal to the boards.

I'm curious about your tune. What kind of timing are you seeing at redline? Aren't you worried about running 8000+ rpm? It doesn't seem like the newly added modifications really did much. I'm betting the higher mph is 99.9% due to the taller 4th gear and better clutch.

There is plenty of clearance near the oil pan and all that.
It is possible that maybe something else is making the noise, but it only happens like I said when the clutch pedal is pushed in. I don't really know what else would be making the noise.
Even though you did not have the problem with your clutch - that is not proof that this is not being cause by my clutch. Also you had Cusco this is Exedy

I only revved it to 8200 RPM last time before the new fourth gear. That was also only in 4th gear going through the traps. Now I shift at 7500 and run through the traps at around 7300

The only changes since last time I ran are

UICP
MAF Pipe
Evo 8 4th gear
Clutch

I would not expect these parts to really add all that much.

My Et went down by .15 and my MPH went up by .74MPH

The temps were about 35 degrees hotter this time around compared to last time.
My launch was also worse this time - I still need more practice with the new clutch

Considering everything, I am happy with the gain. Like I said with this same setup and only minor minor tweaking and a better launch I am confident that I can get into the 11.5's

I don't know if you answered this already, but why aren't you using the meth kit?

I want to see how far I can go with just pump gas. Once I get to where I want, then I will push it further with the meth kit.
