first pass ever with the evo

well i finally managed to get to e-town on friday night to try and get some passes in. my night ended early because i had a brain fart and overheated the clutch on the second pass trying to slip it a bit more to see if i could reduce some wheel hop

my first pass was decent though i seem to have a problem getting the car into 3rd gear took me 2 tries on this pass. rest assure this is driver error and i should be back at the track soon enough with some better times...

R/T - .592
60' - 1.729
330 - 5.189
1/8 - 8.179
MPH - 81.53
1000 - 10.658
1/4 - 12.725
MPH - 110.21

06 evo 9 rs, no weight reduction, buschur stg 1, dynoflash, 24psi, ebay 02 housing, fuel pump, stock clutch, all season tires, 93oct.

That would have been a really nice run had you not missed 3rd. You can tell pretty good with a mph of 81 at the 1/8 and a final trap of 110. That's a pickup of 29mph in the back half. Your car really has some power up top!

Wheel hop? That's weird. I'd be interested to know how your launching to get wheel hop or heating the clutch up that bad.

launching off the 2step which is set to 6k rpms and quickly slipping the clutch, the first launch just felt really rough like it was hoping a lot. instead of lowering tire pressure(set at 32psi) i thought possibly slipping the clutch a bit more would help.

for whatever reason i never fully came off the clutch on the second launch and heated it up bad enough that it wouldn't grab. i let it cool down for about an hour and drove the 75miles home easily, as of yesterday the clutch felt fine.

The low 1/8th mile MPH is more than likely from him missing 3rd hard.
