my question is how could a evo lose to an S4? S4 has less power and weighs more....

how much hp is the evo putting to the ground?

 

i'm sure the evo was stock and the s4 was chipped and other goodies in there..

There is no freakin way that S4 was stock!

I had a 200 20v turbo quattro that looked stock and it was very fast. It was the ultimate sleeper! Looks mean nada.

 

I really don't think that type of assumption holds true. I've seen plenty of cars that look stock outside but I can tell they aren't stock in the inside. Most of the cars like that that look stock outside but not stock inside I see are wrxs. I can tell some of those wrxs aren't stock inside because some of them have massive spool up noise or loud *** bov noise.

that is the stupidest reasoning I have ever heard, he wouldn't mod it because he is indian. WTF? Besides that you can't really hear either car that well and there is no way a stock s4 will beat a stock Evo unless the Evo driver is just ridiculously bad.

That's Zerin's S4 if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure there is a video knocking around of him racing his friends supercharged S2000. Go find that video and then come back and tell me that he's stock - because he isn't.

[edit] I just realised that the S4 is white - so it isn't Zerin's. My bad... However, that S4 apparently has a chip in it.

 

I have owned a 2000 stage 1 MTM S4, and a 2001 stage 2 ABT/Milltek S4. Both of my S4's started life as brand new stock S4's, so I have an excellent idea of what a stock S4 is capable of!

Modded the S4 is a fast car, but hard to launch and not necessarily the quickest car out there. BTW- My stage 1 car with just an upgraded MTM ECU would have appeared to be absolutely stock in outward appearance.

In stock trim there is no way the S4 will stand a chance against a stock EVO...this I know. From a standing start, a stock EVO against an S4 stage 1 car is probably a toss-up, with the edge going to an S4 stage 2 car w/downpipes. A few select mods on an EVO, and the stage 2 S4 gets its @$$ handed to it.

It does depend a lot on the driver though, as both AWD cars are somewhat difficult to launch.

 

I see mothers driving fix up automatic preludes.. it doesn't mean that they are racers... If i my daddy had a S4.. first thing i do is chip that sucker, and he wouldn't even know it..
