Soooo......What your saying is, that his 20 years of tuning experience that my "friend" has means nothing. Plus I talked to at least 5 other tuners that do the same thing. I think its safe or they wouldn't do it. Don't you think with a mod list like yours that car should be a little closer to the 10's area. Esp. on 110 and 27psi. Even march of last year when you went 11.93.....I'm doing just about the same on pump gas and just a modified flash, and WAY less parts.

You obviously dont know what Al does and does not do in his tuning, And your "Friend" that tunes EVOs has no Idea what Al does and does not do do in his tuning. "Tricks
' in tuning are disasters waiting to happen. Tuning a vehicle correctly with the supporting mods and achieving a safe and consistant tune is what it is all about. I have heard and seen too many times where some "friend" tuner is better than all the rest and has special skills to give you more power, and the end result is a disaster. There are alot of good tuners out there that tune Evo's but like I have said many times in the past, Al is one of the best Evo tuners out there. Every time my Evo gets on a dyno it lays down consistant numbers and thats what its all about. Just get a custom road tune.
Dave, i was on the dynoflash bandwagon as well... you have to admit though, customer service is not exactly customer service. dealing with Al's smooth demeanor is like sliding on a piece of 35 grit sandpaper and expecting comfort. When you got tuned by Al, especially back then... him adjusting MIVEC just wasnt a possibility. Its the same still apparently as i have stumbled across some tunes from people by him with practically a stock mivec map. After i got a bit more into tuning i pulled some logs with my dynoflash and my knock counts were less than desirable. the car pulled pretty hard, but i did not feel safe with the counts i was seeing. ofcourse with the wonderful customer service, my multiple attempts at contacting al, and/or warrtalon for help went unanswered. The tuner i use now i'd have to say is pretty amazing. He isnt as well known as AMS, or IVEY, or some of the bigger tuners down south, but I'd take him anyday over the dynoflush

I'm pretty sure you have the same parts, minus the race gas? Turbo-back, intake, mbc, flash... but yeah, your car is fast for the mods you have. Real strong from the factory. Best I've been able to muster so far is 12 flat with a pretty strong 1.700 60'. Not that I have many mods, either. Just intake, exhaust, meth. I have the fat overweight driver mod, also
