I have had the EVO up to around 170 mph 2 times during a certain race event.
Rpm's were in the high 6k area in 5th gear obviously

nomore high speeding for me after i when drag racing

coz i use to race anywere i mean anywere i find someone i dont care a just race

 

i don't have it gps verified, but i followed the speedo til it got pegged then kept going a bit more til the turn came... windows were down, sunroof open, cd on. i didn't have enough room to hit 7800 (my redline) which is equivalent to 183 on a 5 spd '04. whether or not i was actually doing 170+ on this closed course, thats what the car said.

 

i've done 157 many times. the car was still accelerating, but i backed off because i wasn't sure if there was a limiter or not, and i've heard bad things will happen if you hit it. i saw a vid on youtube of a guy doing 161 in a stock IX MR before slowing down though, so i dunno if the limiter exists anymore or not.

 

140 commuting to work, felt great.
