It ran two passes back to back. 12.36 @ 107 on a 1.72 60' just hitting the stock limiter and then 12.30 @ 107.8 on a 1.71 60' after raising the limiter. It also ran 12.51 @ 106.7 on a 1.75 60' earlier in the night, so it is repeatable.

This car also ran 12.9 @ 102 a few weeks ago stock with a mild tune. Also a low MPH. Same track every time.

I'm leaning toward this or the track timing system being screwed up.

Joe, what does it mph in the 1/8? I know Bens car went 111 or 112 with a sticking *** stock clutch on stock tires/rev limiter.

Go Giants.

Just raise the rev limiter. Going to a bigger tire will only add rotating mass. The best alternative is to put in an evo 8 3rd and 4th gear. The easiest is to raise the rev limiter. I've done it to all my evos and have never had any problems revving them to just over 8000rpms.

Fathouse,

It went 85 mph in the 1/8th on those 12.3 passes.

Here is a link to the 12.3 slips

and a link to the 12.9 slip

Most Wanted: I have no problem raising the limiter, but I need to figure out why it is hitting the limiter @ 107 mph first.

More info, here is the log for the 12.36 pass.

http://www.joebucci.com/images/EvoSc...0_21.38.15.csv

This log shows the car on the limiter through the traps. Speed sensor shows 114 mph. If the speed sensor is accuarate, that adds up with reports of 111-112 mph traps with the stock limiter. That means my track is not properly set up.

Does that mean my race car really went 150 mph, not 143.9? how long could it have been like this? I WILL have a talk with them. I can't be the only person to notice.

I'm wondering that too... the trap seems low for the E.T... the 9 I raced last year at the evo/sti shootout hit his limiter and trapped 115.5, he was only on a reflash (dynoflash I think) with stock rims, can't remember the tires unfortunately.

Well, we got to the bottom of it.

The right lane at Bradenton Motorsports Park is ~5 mph slower than the left. Ryan runs the right lane every time. Last night he ran 12.39 @ 106 in the right lane then moved to the left and ran a 12.50 @ 110. That's more like it. Unfortunately it DOES have a slipping clutch, now. It got slower all night with the clutch getting worse and the hot muggy air.
