wow...I can help with the answers to all of the arguments...its almost to much fun watching all of you cut each others throats.

try inflating ur tires a little more.. like an extra 10psi,that should help you get off the line faster
Quicker, no....FASTER, YES.....You are right!
All this does is allow the tires to spin, and if they're spinning they're NOT going to hop. Your trap speed will go up and your time may go down lightly.

my best time so far was 30psi all the way around. This is what the timeslip looked like
RT .551
60' 1.807
330 5.105
1/8 7.828
mph 90.06
on other passes with the same 30psi all the way around i also got a best 60' of1.757 and best mph of 91.01
I tried lowering the tire psi to 25 all the way around and did worst at the track. best run of the night was
RT .751
60' 1.850
330 5.157
1/8 7.906
mph 90.52
I guess lower psi didnt work so next time i go out ill try 35-40 psi all the way around and see what i get.
once again thanks for your input!
Once I get my coilovers ill put in some c16 and see what she does.
Your times to your pressure adjustments dont make sense. You didnt launch the car the same OR didnt shift the same.
Heres why, When you lower your air pressure, what happens.....Your tires have more surface area touching the road thus better traction. BUT, this hurts at the top end, why, because there is more contact on the road it, and it slows you down because its not as easy to roll down the track....Extreme example: Driving with flat tires.
IF you put more pressure in the tires they are now easier to roll and spin, because its not as big of a contact patch on the road. Thus, less traction at the line but more MPH.

Try this....Lower the front to 22 and the back to 18. Then launch it....your going to go 7.5 at 89-91 with a 1.6 60' if you can really drive the crap out of it....probabally 7.6 @ 89-91mph. Work on your shifting and driving the car, that's the best mod you can have and it FREE. Most of the people that have these cars cant drive them. With the power your msking you should be trapping slightly higher....92.X. Im running better times and the same mph as you with a stock turbo and making like 25whp less. Im cutting 1.7 60' with 35psi (street tire).....It should go high 1.5's or LOW 1.6's with this tire pressure change.
I hope this helps if your have any other questions pm me and ill do what I can to help....

Thank you very much for your input..
I understand how tire pressure works and how it affects my times. The problem i am having is im only making 290 torque.. I have no power off the line.. So i need to find the best combo between launch rpm and tire pressure to help me reach my goal of 7.5-7.6 on straight 91 octane.. (if at all possible)
you may be making 25 less hp than me but you are prob making 60 ft/lbs torque more than me! Thats why you can get off the line quicker.
I am open to suggestions but do you really think i can lower the tire psi to 22/18 with the low torque im making? Im thinking it will prob bog bad. Im willing to give it a shot. Ive tried 30 and 25 psi all around.. Next track day ill try 35-40psi first then 22/18 and see how it goes..
Once again thank you for your input..
Anyone else have any input on tire psi being 22/18?
thanks!
the problem is hes wheel hopping... if he get solve that then he can get a little more aggresive with his launchs and will both be quicker and trap higher... the wheel hop is hurting me alot.. Try a couple runs with higher pressure, i really think itll work out better for you....
^^^
youre making more power than him so you need the lower tire pressure to hook up.
Very impressive times! What was the 1/8 mile mph?
Cheers!

but you are on drag radials correct?
what size are they and what's your 2step set to?
I think I'm just going to get some drag radials with a thick sidewall and run 18-20psi all the way around that way on the launch the tires will absorbe a lot of the shock and I can get out quicker and faster.
thanks for the idea!
stock 16G and my 1/8 is 7.7 mix 110 and pump@24psi...Im tuned up to 29psi boost on straight 114 octane though...
