The thing is the way most exotics are geared comapred to us. I raced a Gallardo Superleggera a few weeks back, I pulled out very hard on him right away from 40mph, but at 120 or so he'd caught back up and continued pulling very hard.

I could say it was the way my car just runs out of breath in the upper RPM range from the stock turbo, but an exotic is geared to go 190+mph. They make much better use of their upper RPM range. Obviously a 500whp Evo vs a 420whp Lambo, it'd be game over for the Lambo.

Import vs muscle vs exotic never gets old. Its always fun to see a 35k evo beat a 200k lambo, then watch the evo get smoked by a primer gray Duster that only cost 15k to build.

I love them all, they all have something special to offer the driver. I dream about owning a DB9 or 430 but its not going to happen. Back road blasting on the twisties is a joy in my evo. The straight line performance of my Coronet is intoxicating and racing at a track is great fun.

^That's all straitline though. Supercar's can handle the best out of the three from the factory. Then Evo,then Muscle. Drag racing would be the other way around though. NOTHING can beat a properly setup muscle car on the strip. All in all, i love the Evo's versatility. The Evo has the best of both worlds, a middle ground.

That's why I own one. I am not a big import or "tuner" guy at all. The evo and GT-R are the only cars in that category I would ever want to own. Growing up I didn't dream of Ferrari red but Hemi orange and sublime green. In the last 4ish years my taste in cars has turned European. I have Top Gear to thank for that.

Here is an in car video from a few years ago. Audio is a bit off.....
