"David" (800awhp evo 8) vs. "Goliath" (1200hp 911t)
First time when they were *supposed* to race and the Porsche's intercooler pipe blew off, it was against a street evo.
This time, race Evo that was slapped together in few days vs. proven porsche that has gone 8's.
You think this win isn't that much to be proud of?
I must agree to disagree with you.
You were not proud to run 12.5 in your car?

Who is this guy?
I pulled a search on you on this forumn and found nothing of substance-- This is not a 'Carbon Fiber' for sale thread.
To answer your comment in a nutshell, Yes it is something to be proud of.
Anytime a guy builds a car in 1 week and uses run-of-the mill parts, (did I mention we threw in BC272 cams in the motor because they were the only ones laying around the shop at the time? Do a search and you'll see just how they perform against the rest.) slaps them together, tunes the car the morning of the race, and runs 10.20 on his shakedown pass-- There's something to be proud of.
Striking fear into the guy (a good friend to all by the way--nothing against Eddie Bello) that owns the fastest porsche in the Texas mile, makes over 1200hp to the wheels, and has EASY over 100k into a 2 seater, twin-turbo,2600lbs car-- There's something to be proud of. Did I mention he went 10.70 at over 150mph?
I guess nothing pleases some of the guys on here these days.
We just got the wheel alignment done. Now the driver doesn't have to fight to keep the car straight and he can focus on lowering the ET. Maybe then we can all make "Carloverx" proud of us.

did i hurt your pride fellas? Don't cry gentlemen
, you still won.... I was giving my opinion and you try to make it personal, nice. I was rooting for you too. We should all just make posts to hear people talk about how great they think we are
Just remember, you can throw a 10+ year old mustang together in under a week for less $$ than ur build and nearly beat the fastest evo's in the US. O well, I'm still waiting to see the race, even if the proven 8 second Porsche looses with a ten second run.
I really didn't mean to come across that negative by the way.

guess you never built a car that traps 172mph.. mustang or dragster.. 172mph car is $$$ no matter what it is.. You cant even build a 172mph trap hayabusa for under 25k..
y would u guess that?? How much $$ u have in the build? If you went used/salvage/laying around the shop rout you could build a 170+mph busa for well under 20k, thanks for the point
Are you saying you can't build a 170+mph busa for under 20k using the same salvage/used methods they did? A simple yes or no will suffice.
Edit, and one more thing, i never discredited for a second the time and effort that went into this car. It was impressively fast all things considered. Hat's off to the builders/drivers. It just upset me to see such an easy excuse for the porsche community. I just wanted to see a blatantly street driven evo shut the guy down, that's all. Make the next race at island dragway so i can come watch

The street evo has gone 10.20's the last 3 times out (Island drag and e-town)but keeps getting the boot for no rollcage!! Makes it "not so fun".
Chances are this porsche won't be backed into the corner anymore, the vaseline is still on his body from the last race he slipped out of.
As the race car comes together new challenges will be issued and accepted. We're working on smashing NYC's quickest 9sec civic right now, since no one in an evo in the area accepted any challenges. (not to sound cocky at all)
This is what it's all about. Putting together a nice machine and putting it to a test.
Weather permitting, the drag car will be back at the track in the next few days.
Stay tuned.

I wonder who put you up to that one? Maybe the mods can pull the IP address and see what other screenname your Ip corresponds with?
Are you really on "Bodybuilding.com"? Guys that wear thongs shouldn't talk smack.
