Green Updates

Well my car was out of commission for awhile awaiting yet another new tranny and T-case. With the awesome team I am surrounded with here at EnglishRacing, friends from all over, and much support from family we got it all together.

Car is still a 5 speed (was an MR once) but now has a VIII/IX hybrid with the best of both, IX 1st and input, VIII 2-4, and IX 5th. The ACD was dumped in favor of an 03 case with a factory LSD. So it lost a little weight here and there as well as gaining advantage in 4th.

All in all on the heavy ace 18's I have the car with me in it is just under 3300. I used E30, though after looking at the datalog it was totally unneeded. I also was easy on the first pass and didnt really get too much more since the track got crowded and then there was an engine failure that shut things down, but next week I am going to go back out with more boost and a stronger launch and see what I can do.

Normally I pull consistent mid 1.6 60's and NLTS, and as you can see I eased the launch and then shifted slow. The car still ran pretty quick for low boost though so I am happy. To put it all in perspective, my best previous mph was 118.7 on C16 and running 30 dropping to 26 with the stock intercooler and cams (also with the Green) and the 6 speed.

I'm not too sure, Aaron. I think you can get more than a 17.525 et out of it.
JK. Sitting on the sidelines kind of sucks, doesn't it. Been there, doing that. Good luck when you open it up.

Thanks Tom. I forgot to mention that the S2s really seem to like being wound out with my current combo. I am wondering as I start adding some of my other mods sitting on the shelf if its going to get better or be about the same, but the Green/S2/ETS 4" all seem to work well. I still have my Mil.Spec 65mm and Magnus to throw on as well as an electric waterpump...

Slicks came in yesterday as well, so its about time to start getting a little crazy and pull some weight...AC delete, insulation delete, seats, etc. I'd like to get it 3100 or so if I can and still keep it streetable. My weight with the 18's, half a tank of fuel, and the spare in was 3270. The slicks should help a ton (11lb wheels, 18 lb tires vs 31lb wheels and 29 lb tires), taking the AC out, insulation...I guess we'll see

Don't let Lucas put the baby seat in your car. He'll be trying to unload weight too.

Craig, I have a COP but maybe I need to test the non CDI and see what how well it rips.

Tom, I know he is totally thinking about what to take out and I am afraid I will end up with an anchor in my car

Petey, the car normally should only gain 24-25mph in the back eighth but because I woosed the launch and didnt shift fast as soon as it got in 4th it bolted. I would expect with me actually attacking the car again it wouldnt look like that.

I look forward to your progress, especially since we have very similar setups.

Wow, the trap is nice. So this was on c16? Can't wait to see what it does when you really go at it.
