Going to be on PASS TIME
Well I wass picked to be a contestant on Speed Channels PASS TIME which is pretty cool. I actually sent in to see if I could run my car on the show but they had enough cars so they asked for me to be a contestant and I said yes. SOOOO I was hoping you guys could help me out a give me some tips on how to guess 1/4 mile times.
and any good questions to ask to help me out.

weight to power ratio always keep that in mind... size of slicks if they are too big they wont leave proper if too small they'll spin... what power adders tehy are running...
watch the show every night and you'll be dialed in by the time you get there. also, learn what certain classes mean in drag racing and what times are normally run in those classes so when a driver says what class he usually runs you'll have an idea how fast he can go.

I would go down to your local dragstrip and watch all the different cars make some passes. It would be good to get a good backround on the different makes and models on how they perform before you go on that show.
Just ask the standard questions:
1. Dat thang got any nitros?
2. Wat kina horsepowah ya runnen?
3. Wat siez tyrs ya runnen?
4. Wil da track hold ya?
5. Ben dwn da track befour?
6. Wat clas ya run in?

lol man thats a sweet deal. Learn by launching lol. You gotta know what your car can run first before you go running it on TV or for money lol. Can your car handle the strip? not rude just dont know your car or set up.
I think your a little confused. The op is NOT running his car on national television. He is going to be a constant who guesses the times of the cars that are ran on the show for money. The racers are not contestants on the show.
