Pump gas war "I started with Buschur?"
Lets see, I believe we started a thread about a car we built that made more power than anyone else on pump fuel. We jokingly called it a record. Of course some peoples feelings were hurt and it went the way it always goes on this forum. A war? I don't think so, but we will defend our work and ethic. Just as david has done in the past for himself and his customers.
Speak about things you understand and read about things you don't. You haven't figured out how to keep the gums from flapping on issues or topics you should be yearning for information on.

Joe easily went 10.8 after he figured out how to get the 1-2 shift down after the car would spin thru the gears. After that he never got a shot to go faster. Track had a spill and they never ran again. Until next season, I guess. Is his time of almost 135 not good enough either? Or are we hiding some magical potion behind this curtain as well.

I guess I am coming off like an ***, but it has been many years and times over we/I have had to prove ourselves. Its almost stupid ridiculous now.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Is it just me or did another perfectly good thread get ruined by crcain again.

To the OP great job getting to the track and running those numbers. Contact a Mod and have them scrap the last two pages of this thread.

Good Luck, Indy

did you ever say what size injectors it has? with a single walbro and PTE 1000cc I was seeing 108% IDC...I could see sqeezing a little more out if I were running c16 and leaned the AFR out a bit. If that car traps 133 on 23psi then it's really going to fly when the boost is cranked up once it had an adequate fuel supply. (twin pumps).

For reference I went 135 on 93 octane (full weight car) with twin walbros and 1000cc injectors the IDC was 92% but I needed 32.5psi-34.5psi to do it. If I dropped my boost to 23psi and ramped the timing way up I doubt seriously I'd be able to trap 135. I'm still amazed and what your car can do...very impressive.

880's? I saw 117% IDC with 880's on a single walbro when my car only trapped 125. Is the base fuel pressure cranked to the moon to make them flow better or is the AFR extremely lean?

133mph traps on a single walbro and 880cc injectors at 23psi leaves me completely baffled unless the car was super light weight (not making that much power) and I think it was already said that this is not a gutted car. Help me understand this

no problem

that's probably what my car weighs without me, I removed the spare tire, jack, installed the mini battery and removed the front crash bar.

That brings up a good point on the approach to the tune > timing/low boost vs <timing/high boost.

I was just discussing this with my tuner as he tends to be a bit more conservative on the timing and prefers to incerease boost pressure on my car at least.

Regardless great times no matter what and fwiw on 1000's and 1fp = 100%idc at 34psi

Now with 1200's and 2 fp's the idc's i bleieve were in the 85% range at 8500rpm and 37ish psi.

good info...you have to consider the AFR when speaking about IDC....race gas guys may be running 12.0-12.5 which can drop the IDC considerably. I run pump gas and can't get away with that at high boost.
