7.712 @ 89.803

I just ran at the strip today. Its only an 1/8th. This is my first time launching the evo.
60' 1.755
1/8th 7.712 @ 89.803

I dyno'd yesterday and ran it today. Mods are in sig. Even though I got a 1.755 sixty foot the rpms seem to come down a little lower than I like it kind of feels like a bog. I retarded the timing to -10 on the 120-160 load cells and I launched at 6k on the stationary rev limiter and built about 10 psi of boost. I was hoping to be faster, but this is all I can do on pump gas.

My last run of the night I missed 4th gear and i Ran 7.9@ 74.987 - 1.728 60'. I think that would have been a fast one. The gears on the 9 are too short. My WRX which ran 12.8 would run 3rd to 95 MPH.

I run the 1/8 all the time with my stock turbo and some bolt ons. I generally run 8.0s consistantly and if they prep the track well ihave run a bunch of 7.9s and a 7.8

Hey did you ever dyno your red on pump or get any times out of it? I'm thinking about a e85 green or just step up to red. IDK yet.

thats a good time in the 8th. I had a 2.3 with gt30 at 30 psi (DDL- 450hp) and I could only squeeze off 8.0 at 88-89mph. Really bad wheel spin thru first and sec gears.

Your MPH should be higher even though you were spinning. What track do you run at? Shady or greer? I'm from the upstate. You'd probably tear it up on the back half if u ran the 1/4th.

Went there in 2006 - 8.0 @ 89 on pump at about 22 psi.

I'd like to go early this summer and see what tuning and methanol has done once I get some tires, but the thought installing the 4th clutch for the car has me thinking otherwise Maybe one launch and try at it won't hurt, but..

Wow thats quick . My best time(7.7@89) was at 431 pm. Did you run at night time? My last run of the day I missed fourth and ran 7.9 at 74.987 mph. That was almost 8PM. What are your mods? I read the IX turbo and green are pretty close on pump? You might just be a better driver + stronger car.

I don't know about the gears being too short?

My best was a 7.841 @ 87.44 with 5 less whp than you on a dynojet dyno (maybe about 35 whp on the same dyno) and ebay all seasons (which actually help the 60'). I'm not trying to brag, as there's many faster cars and better drivers than me out there; i'm just giving you some perspective of how much you could actually cut that down. Your 60' is what's killing you, maybe shifting as well? Sorry if i'm telling you stuff you already know.

I run close to you guys with a VF39 and E85 in my WRX at Greer Dragway, and it was my first time ever as well. Damn my car is fast if I can run the same times than a green and a 30R, I am putting 290whp and 320whq on Airboys road dyno spreadsheet.

My run
60' ... 1.852
330' ... 5.119
1/8 ... 7.768 ... 93.588 mph

So, what do you guys think? Please help

Video of my runs

E85 can take a bunch more timing and boost. There are some posts on the forum that say it is more potent than race gas with enough fuel... Green and 30r are not that impressive on pure 93.
