Math does not change, in fact it is the only thing constant besides power and weight...

...And what experience are you basing this off? This car is pig heavy. TTP's MD reads higher than others, but it certainly doesn't make it wrong.

I think after they spend time in the drag racing section, people think its easy to go 140mph...

Paul Nelsons full drag car (tin can) when making 1000whp went what.. 163 iirc? And later with 1100+whp went 169? In a car that probably weighs 800-1000lbs less.

Paul Nelson did 8.99 @ 149mph.

He also did 166mph. I can sit here and watch video of him missing gears all day. It happens.

Paul nelson is a pretty poor example.. His setup sucked with the 25 core air / water intercooler, single layer shell evo, and his non driving self..

Since we are comparing the worst of the worst compare some of the better cars like ours that ran 8.98@157 w/ 782 dynojet HP in a full interior and exhaust street car.. and with stock trans in 2 passes after being built from a shell 9.14@156.. you cant just compare the worst without looking at better built and driven cars..

Mike, do you ever stop patting yourself on the back?

Good job TTP on the stock ECU. Nice job building your own motor and head as well. That is what I would consider "modifying the 4G63".

I guess I am I not the only one who sees that he enters every one of our threads to bash ETS or TTP or whoever, derail the thread so he can talk about himself?

That is the plan. We agree, especially with bigmaps now. The only things not available from the stock ECU are external controls and antilag ignition cut.

There are some benefits to aftermarket ecus! For one you can read a 100 page manual for an aftermarket ECU and be ready to tune. With the stock ECU you got to read 100's of 100 page threads!

With that said, it really does make these stock ECU big power cars impressive.

Lol, that needs to go in someone's signature...

I know what you mean. There is a ton of data out there and you have to have a lot of understanding to make heads or tails of it all.

Luckily for us, we do this everyday so we tend to get good at it.

I'm doing pretty good without big maps, there's quite a few redundant low rpm columns/rows

according to the Jcalculator on my car:

HP: 708
Weight: 2950 with me in it

1/4: 9.373
MPH: 145.4

Seems like its on crack to me. Real times are 9.4 with barely a 4th gear, so that should be 9.0 atleast. And 159 mph slow shifting.

That jcalculator doesnt even seem close to me.

Sounds like you should have your dyno facility contact MD to have it calibrated correctly then.

When you dyno your car on a correctly reading dyno, come back here and make your own thread about it.
