- Jet ski in the hotel pool

And the list goes on and on. All of you that show up to this event are adults. Grow up and start to act like it before the event gets shut down.

And this is the exact reason I only come out for the racing on Sunday and do not stay the weekend in Norwalk. Perhaps it's just me, but I grew out of that sort of thing a few years ago. It doesn't seem at all appealing to me to be around all the drinking and generally idiotic activities that occur at the Shootout.

It was great to finally put some faces to screen names, thanks again to Buschur Racing for hosting this event year after year, there really is nothing quite like it!
Well thats good to hear. Are you offering their parts? Good luck with the 7s and the Evo in the future.

Heck the year before the guy came out with a big garbage bag and we all gladly tossed our crap out.
What do you expect?

If they aren't going to bother with garbage cans, and continue to rape charge everyone through the roof for staying there (cost goes up every year!!!) then I'll throw my crap wherever I want.

I highly doubt the city would ever shut the event down, they make so much money off all of us its probably not even funny. Plus after 18 years, they know what to expect.

The partying is half the fun! ~ I know our group alone dropped $300 just at walmart on beer lol

I was hanging out at the American Inn, and they didn't have any trashcans where I was standing... but as an adult, I took care of my own trash. If you place the blame on the hotel (for not having a trash can) for your littering, you are the problem. Also, I'm sure it's not just the DSM/Evo shootout that makes the hotel rates expensive... Cedar Point is a huge factor in that considering they have 30,000-50,000 people that go there, per day.

Act like an adult. You're ruining the event for the people that do.

Out of all the stupid stuff that goes on at this event every year.... it makes me wonder how some of these people even find their way back here every year being so god blasted stupid.

Ive gone out, had some wild times & done stupid stuff with my friends but some of the stuff that goes on here is unfathomable to me of exactly how stupid you have to be to come up with it or even dumber to do it.

I still wish the guy who ran from the cops would have gotten caught & received a nightstick a$$ beating from the cops.

As for the trash..... I mean it is pretty difficult to act like an adult, keep all your trash together, put it in a bag/box then walk over to the dumpster (which was open) and throw it away.

Really? Awesome? How about, the hotel possibly not allowing any race attendees to stay there? That sound awesome?

People need to grow up.

Ams's car hasn't drag raced in over a year and caught fire at the mile. Ivey hasn't raced his in a year. Turbotrix as far as I know hasn't run since town last year along with Magnus. Jester doesn't race at all, never has at a shootout. CBRD was on display, they run time attack not drag races. Force fed has also never ran here. Al has been out of country for over a month and didn't finish his car in time.

My car was on radials, low boost and I was driving it. I actually made my first ever 5 speed 10 second pass in it.

So you showing your hate by implying racers weren't there because of me is pure stupidity. Half the guys you listed don't drag race or have never drag raced at the shootout even when they were there and the other half are not racing from anything I've seen.

Onto the autocross. The course was tight and will be tight next year, speeds have to be kept low. It probably won't be longer either.

As a side note there is a poll over on our forums to vote for the layout of the Saturday portion of the event next year, please stop by and vote.

No AMS car, no Turbotrix, Magnus, Ivey, CBRD, Jester, Force Fed and so on...Davids RS went a best of low 10.? at 141 or so because it was auto x mode.

English Racing
Maperformance
Kiggly
STM
Mike Reichen (made 941 on the BR dyno!!) were the only notable shops on hand

Maperformance had the fastest car there and BR does nothing but bash them. I think my point is that David has so many arguments with so many shops that he has sabotaged his own event, for those looking for fast drag cars anyway...

I am not bashing BR or I wouldnt go to his event. I am stating FACTS about the lack of shops willing to attend.

Take a look around.. The only shops drag racing are the ones that are new trying to make a name for themselves.. There was nothing going to happen in OHIO that didnt happen here at our local track.. We came up to support Buschur and the fans who we answered 100s of questions all weekend.. I was going to drive up with my car when I know at the level my car runs 1 pass may go 8s or may go 8 feet.. Sometimes in business you have decide where to stop when there is no return on Investment..

if we ran 8's at the shotoout the phone wouldnt ring 1 extra time so i chose to not bring the car.. I filled my signature by making more 9 second passes in 6 months than any other shop has ever done in 7 years.. 29+ low 9 second passes @ 9.5-9.0 and 1 8.9.. Im content with my performance this year and am done for the season..

Next year i hope to have a RWD 4g63 powered ANYTHING.. I figure consistent 7.8's should be good for Q16 class & the $$$.. With Solid rear axle and gforce trans nothing should break..

Mike

Some of you need banned from the race for stupidity.

I had my meeting with the track today. Some thieves stole banners from the track, I was charged $760 for this stupidity.

Jet ski in the pool......luckily I got the license number for the Ohio plated eve today, I'll pass that on to Norwalk police tomorrow.

The hotel rates have nothing to do with the shootout, it's the huge amusement park and lake Erie summer travelers that do that. Trashing the hotels is stupid and childish. Making an excuse why it's ok to disrespect someone elses property is even dumber.

I am ashamed of a lot of you and HATE being associated with you by the local people here.

If only it was that easy! Head gaskets don't seem to appreciate the 1100whp it takes to move 2800lbs down the 1/4 in less than 8 seconds even with o-rings and hard block to the water pump! I suppose dropping some weight would be the easiest route, but keep in mind tube chassis cars can't compete in the Q16.
