"Everyone" is invited every year. The event is open to the public, obviously. It was AMS's decision to not attend last year, it will be their decision to attend or not this year also.

The event in 2009 was the most layed back and peaceful shootout we've had in years even with a record number of people. It shows that having the "haters" (not talking about AMS) at another event was the best thing ever, I hope those types stay away.

 

I will be there again. No daily driver yet, so just spectating again for me.

 

Well, if AMS would come, they would def. win the autocross...IMO

The autocross is not a stand alone event, it is combined with a drag portion too and then there is a total time posted to determine the win. You might be surprised at what it takes to autocross successfully compared to what it takes to road race competively and then even more surprised what it takes to do either of those and drag race too, which is the point of the class.

 

I am sure there would be seperate classes though, just like drag.

 

hopefully their are know other events this day like last year so everyone can go. So the best of the best can attened this event. Would be nice to see AMS there now that people are looking to get their record.

 

First post completely edited. Rules I think are sorted out now for the classes, lane assignments and the new MAX EFFORT class has been added.

i am hoping my 2008 crew can go again because i want to go this year. and i also hope we dont have the BS we had with one event put on the same day again. id like to attend both events. i hope to be in ohio in august though. and i also hope to see everyone there.

 

i told you, im hitting every cone possible.... and then driving right out of the track LOL!

streetthis, you will have your hands full with your car! It's a great time, you gotta try it. You should try to go do Winged Warrior too!

CBRD, I warned you about those cones, you'll end up with a dent in the door! haha

 

We will be there this year - dammit, time to get back to having some damn fun again..... drive is a little further now than last year though I will just put a 35R on the drag car and learn how to drive it... haha.
