does any one know where to shift while drag racing where i can get the max power....is it 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000.....the higher you go the more power you are losing......i tried 5000 and ran the low 18.3 and i did 17.8 between 5500 and 6000...has anyone else tried different shifting points

shifting

i read somewhere (dont remember where) that peak torque for the lancer was 4250RPM. I would try shifting around 5000 RPM that's about where i shift when I actually want my car to move.

when I'm racing I definetly go to close to 5 and often over it. But the power drop off is noticeable if you try to redline race

Max power: 5500 rpm (only 500 short of redline!)
Max torque: 4250 rpm
