World's fastest S2000 going to e-town
who cares? The Evo is a rally car and can still put just about any car on the road to shame with minor mods... I wonder how that same S2000 would do on a little dirt, snow, ice, mud, rain, while being able to hold 2 people... maybe just 1 though... I don't know if they took out the passengers seat or not.
I like the 2000 don't get me wrong, but the amount of money that would have to be spent to get one of those cars even close to what the Evo can do stock is a lot, let alone something like this. Sorry, at least the S2000 is a car meant for performance instead of some stupid local civic with a stock motor that someone throws a turbo kit on, runs the boost up to insane levels and then calls the car super fast. For me, it's about power that can be actually used.
The handling of both the Evo and s2k is excellent, but i'd like to have a car that can be used for more than going fast in a straight line... after a while that just gets boring and gay.

This car would be direct competition for other Solid axle, RWD, 4cyl.. Go look at what those guys run... That car is about 1sec behind the fast rwd/4cyl guys. Maybe just Maybe you could compare it to Shep's car very loosely.. Its still slower in ET/MPH and about 5yrs late to that party. Not to mention that one of those 8sec EVOS like AWD would probably mop it up on the street.... Well probably not since you couldn't actually drive that s2k on the street.
Im not saying the car isn't cool.. but in the grand scheme of import racing, its not doing anything that hasn't been done.

What class is it running that makes you say that?
I'll have to ask CFT what class the car is currently competing in. May or may not be Pro Outlaw. If that is the case, I understand that it is far slower than Rau's Talon which I believe ran a 6.83 @ 202. Big different in power between these two cars though--under 1000hp vs over 1400hp.
Back when this S2000 was running low 8s, most people talked about Shep's Eclipse being much faster. We can now say that this particular S2000 is quicker.

looks like a traction has been sorted as the MPH is close to its last time but its a lot faster
