World's fastest S2000 going to e-town
The world's fastest S2000 is making it's debut in Englishtown in October:

This S2000 is simply incredible and is setting world records practically every time it hits the 1320. For those in the area you should check out this car in person as it represents the import car community and lays the smackdown on the competition!

Really? I would hope that the majority of us import car enthusiasts would be impressed. The S2000 has raised the bar. I can guarantee you there isn't an Evo XIII or IX at this point that could beat it.

if those evos were tubbed out RWD cars, the evo would win

an evo may not hit 7's yet but i do believe 2g eclipses have which is an even older platform, still utilizes 4g63, and i am not sure if they use awd or rwd on the faster ones, i would imagine rwd. the bar was set high by mitsubishi a long time ago.

Aside from the S2000 being RWD and the EVO being AWD, this is certainly an apples to apples comparison.

Definitely not the first import car to run 7s; by no means am I stating that. What I am saying is that the big name Evo XIIIs and IXs from shops like Buschur, AMS, TurboTrix, CFT, etc have yet to run 7s. All of these Evos are HEAVILY modded...just like this S2000. Some of these Evos have been tubbed out as well, are completely gutted, have something along the lines of a dog box or sequential air shifter, and the list goes on and on.
Aside from the S2000 being RWD and the EVO being AWD, this is certainly an apples to apples comparison.

I haven't seen a complete mod list yet, but know that they are using a Ford 8.8.
This S2000 here looks like it will be the next to post some quick times:
