Street tires suck ! :(

Just venting cause i can . Put my fedrals and evo9rs rims on for day or two and decided to hit the track last friday. Well, i should listen to my gut, dont go on street tires. Ive been using my Hoosier DRs for so long i forgot how hard and much wheel hop these get. I get out sideways in first, get second ok and then ntls into 3rd and bang ( wheel hop at 80mph) . I was like no f-ing way. I was crossing my fingers and praying i didnt damage the TC or rear end. Good. no niose or crazy feelings. Well, i did do something bad. I warped my PP on the the brand new tripple clutch. Just had it put in like 2 mnths ago with a full tranz rebuild. Anyway, just crying on eveyones shoulder lol. I dumped two grand into the old ladyz car to bring it up to reliable stats and now my sh_it gets busted.Aw well, another day another dollar. gotta find a way to hide this bill from women

What kind of Engine is in your car? Your numbers matched with the turbos in your signature don't seem real, but on the other hand, neither does spinning in 3rd with a small turbo like that

ER 9.5:1 2.0L

Dynojet, verifiable with dyno sheets but more importantly track times and mph.

That's what a properly setup 2.0L should run.

I'll probably never go back to the track on street tires personally. As you've seen first hand, whats the point?

I hear ya man! Street Tires are no fun compared to DR and slicks. On my old Stock Block Fp Red setup running low 11s i went to the track a lot of my street tires (Nitto NT01). Since then when the car got built i only ran on DR and slicks. Wth street tires on my old Fp black setup i was curious to see what it would run, but i def didnt want to break anything or risk it. Now my car sits on my CCWs with the Nitto 555R DRs for the street and 15" slipstreams Full MT slick for the track. I would like to see what it does at the track for fun one time when im not using my Full slicks.
