Evo X 1/8 mile times?

Guys just wondering what you guys are running in the 1/8 mile? Went to the track last night and my best run was a 8.20 88mph with a 1.9 60 foot. This seems way down from what I think it should be running. Car makes 400whp on CBRD's
Dyno, the car has a fp red and all supporting mods.

You should be able to hit 7's with a better 60'

I know the 60' is hurting my time but I think with the power the car puts down it should be a mid 7 second car in the low 90mph range. Am I wrong?

On the red, mx1, twin hd, I did 4 runs the clutch is very hard to launch, it's either on or off. So I was bogging flat on my face or lighting the tires up. But like I was saying on my last run it went ok but only ran a 8.2 at 88 with a 1.9 60...

The unfortunate problem with launching the x is that fine line we must ride with slipping the clutch and how much risk we are willing to assume. I finally got my 60ft down to a consistent 1.4-1.6 but its at the expense of slipping the shart out of my clutch, which leads to a very quick clutch rebuild.

The X doesn't launch any different from an 8/9, etc. 1.9s 60' shows that you need more practice. I was able to run a 7.8s 1/8mile with catback, testpipe, uicp, clutch and tune. You have more than enough power. Just keep going out and work on your technique.

I agree it's the driving that's keeping me from hitting mid 7's, but with a 1.9 60 I believe I still should have run a high 7 second run. Either the car is down on power or something else is wrong. Car felt good though...

A 400hp x on a mustang dyno should run 7.6 or lower. At @ least 91mph++

^^^agree 100% with this statement. Car even with a crappy 1.9 60 should have gone faster.

Don't forget to shift faster too. I've dropped a couple of tenths just by hammering my shifts.

Then you would losing your money! Yes I was using the launch control... Found a 4 inch tear in the coupling right at the turbo, the thing was tore 1/3 of the way around the pipe! So I got that replaced and will try again.
