Back from the track with the daily driver 9.88@144mph
Good to see it back on track Jake what kinda boost are you running through the 3586?
I know it's probably been asked before but do you think you are needing more rpm in each gear?
Also how much work was done to the head?

I do need more RPM through 1st gear and 4th. More in 1st so I can hold it out longer for a better 1-2shift and 4th since I'm crossing through right at 8800rpm through the traps. The car does have an awesome powerband though, 5500rpm through 8700rpm, so it's fairly wide and very responsive between shifts.
I'm more then likely going to step back down to a 2.0l next season so I can go faster. The stroker is awesome, but I'm just out of RPM, unless I go to a 4:11 final drive.
The head has mild port work done and supertech 1mm oversized valves with supertech dual springs, bronze guides and the kelford 272 cams.
I was sitting here looking at my timeslips from this season and WOW, this thing is extremely consistent lol.

All of these runs ranged from 90+ degree weather to as cool as 60 degree weather. It runs the same numbers regardless of temp. I've had some consistent cars in my life but damn, this is like a automatic trans bracket car haha

I think it would be faster on a 2.0l since it will settle the tires down a ton on the launch (less tq) It's pretty tricky launching this thing with the amount of tq it has, so cutting good 60ft's is tough needless to say

Not to mention I will be able to rev the 2.0l higher during shifts. If I do go back to a 2.0l it will still remain the stock final drive. If I stick with the stroker then i will more then likely have to goto a 4:11 final drive if I wanna go any faster then I am now.
My goal by the end of the season is to hit 9.6x and 147-150mph. I don't think I will be able to hit 150mph with my current setup though, 147mph isn't too far out of reach. I'm going to adjust the rear suspension again and see if I can get my 60ft's down in the 1.4x range.
Next outing will be on Oct. 9th, maybe sooner, we shall see.

Hey Jake just checking back with ya i know there is no more racing for ya this year but any thoughts on what you will be doing with the Evo for next year or will you just keep it as is and have fun with it?
HAPPY HOLIDAYS my brotha!

Knowing Jake, he will keep trying to make it faster. I don't think he will go as far as to put crap doors/lexan windows on it though. Probably just try to push more power out of it and shoot for mid 9s.
My goal is to see if I can even break 11.5 again without breaking my car.
