13.0

So I ran my car a couple of nights ago, it did a 13.04@105.9 with a 1.87 60ft I was expecting something like a mid 12 with mods {BR intake and pipe, T/B, intercooler piping, test pipe,mbc19psi and afc with preset adjustments, what do you guys think and that was my only run..

There is definitely nothing wrong with your driving ability. Your 60 ft time is pretty good. I did a 13.1 with a 106.6 so you out-raced me. My time was on 93 octane, without cam gears installed and no custom tuning. (out of the box xede running baseline 93 map)

We'd have a better view of your run if you told us WHERE you ran.

Statix,
What BR stage is that you were running? What octane? Finally, what rpm did you shift at?

That run was done in Fontana, CA. I have Bushurs stage 2, 100 octane and was shifting @ 7200 approx. Only asking cause ive seen evos with much less run better times and feel that run was almost flawless.

For one thing, you are wasting potential by only running 19 psi when you are running 100 octane. 19 psi is a safe boost level for 91 octane

What altitude is Fontana at and what were the temperatures like? Buschur is near one of the best tracks in the entire country, so it is hard to match his times without being at the same track....but your mph shows that you seems a little down on power compared to his stage two as well as slower ET.

Let us know altitude and temperature and we will think up more questions to ask

Keith

I live only 30 miles from Fontana. Elevation is about 900 to 1000 feet and temperatures over here have been 65 to 75 degrees lately. I agree completely about what 4 door said about boost. 19 is way too low. That, by itself, could account for the results you got.

I have less bolted on my EVO and ran a 12.801.
What did you launch the car at? Your
60ft is good but could have been maybe
1 tenth of a second better. I launched at 4000 RPM
and shifted @7500 RPM.
I have the I/C and the pipes but have not installed
them yet. My ECU Is dynoflashed and I have no
S-AFC installed. I ran with 93 octane using NOS
Racing Octane Booster.

Have you had your car dyno-tuned?
That may make a pretty big difference. Get that SAFC dialed in and up the boost and she should be a runnin' biatch!

I slipped the clutch @5500 or so, cant go over 19psi cause my boost cut will hit and the afc is already dialed in...

Everyones cars is diff on the launch and where exactly to shift with everyone having diff mods/power etc.. But it seems the majority from what Ive read over the past year or so is something to the effect of dropping the clutch at 5500-6000, shifting at 7100 into 2nd and 3rd and 6900 into 4th. Those are approx numbers, like I said, everyone cars is diff.

My lightly modded EVO 3 ran 12.7 @ 108mph 1.7 60ft with 4 cracked pistons.Running 17 psi and changing at 7000rpm . The engine was covered in oil after the run. Since rebuilt using VR4 pistons and rods( lower compression and stronger rods) . I can now run 20 psi or so. Should run 12.0 now. Not bad for a lightly modded EVO 3.

I think your trap speed should be higher. Just out of curiousity, are all your parts BR? You don't have a different turbo back or anything do you? Just trying to eliminate all the variables, as Buschur had a 111mph trap @19psi in his run with those mods.

I would suggest reseting the ECU and driving around for a few days, then try again at the track. Thats my $.02
