I am hoping they are 21lbs or less I am looking at the ExtremeContact DW 235/45/17 for a street tire, there 21lbs each, 5lbs less than my current ones on top of some lightweight rims. The DW are only 135$ each though. I never knew picking wheel/tire and brake combo can be so hard

Just got the heads up so I wanted to pass it along in case anyone really has to have a set in March. I know I'll need mine!

What are the benefits of running these over the Hoosier drag radials?

Street miles, no idea. The compound and sidewall are soft.

I don't think you are going to want to use these for autocross, the sidewall is soft on them.

Hoosier DR's break parts because they wheel hop like a *****.

I am not taking deposits for the slicks but if you want to call and place an order we will take the order and put you at the top of the list. We'll call you when they come in and get payment from you.

BTW, guys, I want to say I truly appreciate the actual owner of M&H taking on these two tire projects for me/us. A lot of other companies that I approached blew me off. I was treated with a great deal of respect on this from Tom. I am also going to say that I'd truly appreciate you guys ordering them from us so I can prove to him that what I told him about moving the tires for his company was, in fact, the truth. It's a pretty big deal in my opinion after being blown off by so many other companies. These tires are EXACTLY what I asked them to build, not some half assed "will you accept this instead" tire.

BTW, Mike at AWD tested this same compound/sidewall on a 9 second RWD BMW and that car ran 1.4x sixty foot times on them.

These things are nasty looking. I got to see/touch them in person. I can vouch for the tire being very soft. I believe M & H uses fiberglass for their sidewalls instead of steel belts like other companies. This allows them flex/give like a slick but drive and last like a normal radial drag radial. You can correct me if I am wrong that is just what I remember hearing from their rep.

I think they will work great for our applications.
