Yes, you can run those slicks on a 9.5" rim but it's not ideal.

Is that because the stretch takes away the soft sidewall?

Are they best on stock 8,9 wheels?
Will you need to space them away from the struts?

Cheers shane

It's because the width of the tire is designed to work best on a wheel the same size as the width of the tire.

The slicks and radials are 26" tall, I'm not even sure they fit with the stock struts.

Theres a Evo out of Vegas running stock suspension getting good 60's and is in the 9.25 range with the racemaster slicks.

Thats me right here

Drive them everywhere without any issues. All 1.400s 60fts, a best of a 1.401 out of 5 track passes, all low 9sec passes.

And BUSCHUR they do fit with all stock suspension,
this evo has all stock suspension!

I didn't think the 26" tire would clear with the stock front strut.

Nice! Would you mind sharing the front/rear tire pressure and what's the boost off the line?

Depends on the weight of the car i believe, but this one weights 3100lbs with driver, i set fronts at 14 and rears at 12! I tryed lower but too dangerous, car all over the place, very scary when stoping at over 150mph!
The car has a Apexi Power FC Commander and msd digital 1 ignitionbox with dsm spark wires from 7 years ago, it has never been changed, 2step is set by the msd at 7krpm, it gets 15psi in 1 second!
