Same hare. I have been tossing the idea of both of these turbos. I can't make up my mind on what one I want to go with. I even have a thread going with a poll on what turbo to go with a BR2.4LR.

Please do an over lay once you have info.

I am one of them morons who don't post graphs or numbers. Just track results. But I might post up all my info this time around to maybe get some help on why my car is so slow compared to others with the same area of power.

I have a question for anyone with a fpr. When I was on the stock fpr the far would hold fp pretty well when the car was off. The fuel lab fpr I have now does not hold **** when I shut the car off. At idle my fp is just fine. But when I shut the car off the pressure bleeds off withing minutes. Is this ok?

ok. more updates. i am freaking loving the past week man let me tell you. playing with the car, driving it, hitting boost, waving at my fans on the road and working on it. my live is complete again.

anyways today i installed the STM-650 cams. i started the car and instantly you can here an idle difference. which is expected. i had to raise the idle up as the older cams i had the idle around 1200rpm and these cams seemed to drop the idle down to 900/1000rpm. i also noticed my fuel pressure went up. from 43 to about 48. so i lowered that as well.

i took the car for a quick spin. it needs a tune very badly. its still fast as hell but it is running a little rough. i didn't think the few changes i did would make such a difference but it is what it is.

i think the car will sit until Saturday. i am so worried yet exited.

keep in mind i have not driven the car in 10 months. also that it is 120lbs lighter. but the 6466 ''seems'' to feel like it hits harder then the HTA turbo did. i really didnt notice any lag difference either. thats the best i can do for you man.

I have always liked your car, but I am not precision turbo's biggest fan. Regardless I hope it works out for you and gl on the elusive 9 second pass Hopefully see it in ohio again this year..

I would be curious to know what kind of backpressure you were hitting in your exhaust manifold on your old setup, dropping that down with the new hotside should help quite a bit.

well im still on the small runner manifold. the ATP T4 1.06 on the HTA86 turbo from a few shops, people was told it does not even belong on a gas engine let alone a car looking to make power. when i went from pump gas to 100oct i picked up over 100hp yet at the track nothing changed other then MPH at the end. my pump gas was 137 and my 100oct was 141. yet i still kept running the same 10.3s/4s all day.

so this let me to believe something is up. something is not right or being told. so i contacted a few places and they said the turbine housing is probably choking the hell out of that turbine wheel and if i planned to keep twin scroll setups i would need a real TS turbine housing and a bigger turbine wheel. and that should really open up the hole setup.

so i called Garrett, FP, and PTE. all 3 of them said to at least ditch the ATP 1.06. i would need a much much more efficient turbine wheel for the boost i am running. FP, and PTE both said the 65 or 66mm turbine wheels. PTE got my vote because the new 6466 seems promising. i like the results i have seen and it fits what i need. i almost bought the 6766 but maybe in the future. so basically i got the 6466 to a real turbine housing in 1.15. they said the 1.32 is way to big for a street car.

so if the car only picks up a few MPH this time then it def is not the turbo. next is to get a big runner manifold made. if after that does not work then i have no clue what the hell is going on. i might ditch twin scroll and try a V-Band setup.

sorry for the babbling. its kind of a mess and not really full of all the details but thats the basics if you can read it.

o yea. before all that crap i just said.

i pulled off the HTA turbo to install a pressure sensor on the turbine housing because i wanted to also see if there was an issue there.

when i removed the turbine housing from the turbo the ATP housing was cracked in 4 spots on the inside. so thats where i started looking for another turbo. i wanted to upgrade my turbine wheel size but i did not want the HTA3794 or the 6766. they are to big for me. so the 6466 fit me perfectly.

You mean the 3794 with a hta 86 comp wheel? Yes i know. But I wanted to try the newer style 66 turbine and gain the new compressor wheel as well.
