At least you mph are up there lol. I couldnt trap any higher than 117. On a 35r?? I know my 2nd gear shift could have been better, but I thought it would scream in the top end and make up for it.

I know seat time is great, but if you are spinning on the launch... what will more practice do??

your trap speed is low for the power. can you do a pull on the interstate with your car? the number might be inflated.

my other customer 5leeper aka Steve did 127 at the shootout with 530-540whp.

but also based on what you said you were not shifting into 5th? lol.. what were you doing then just coasting through the finish? Steve had to shift to 5th everytime.

my car spins on launch also with slicks and regular tires. you have to time the 1-2.. my opinion is 1-2 shift is the hardest thing to get right in drag racing, but once you do it properly your car will feel like a mini launch coming into 2nd.

No, I wasn't shifting into 5th, I just figured by the time I would get it into 5th, is be ready to hit the brakes and let off. I guess I could shift early into 5th, instead of letting 4th ride out to 8k, that way I can get into 5th and get the car accelerating again. The 1-2 shift needs some work. I did adjust my short throw shifter back to the std throw yesterday, WOW, what a difference in feel that makes. Trans shifts like butter now lol. It seemed like I had to really try and slam it in gear before with the short throw, so maybe this will help that pesky 1-2 shift.

Thinking of it, but then I don't know if I really wanna spend the extra money on them. I mean, I see some guys running high 10's on street tires, so I wonder whether or not its worth getting qtps. My car isn't a drag car, but when I do go to the track, i get disapointed lol. I guess I just need to learn to deal with it haha

It's all in the launch technique. Something does seem off as your traps are low. I'm trapping 118/119 with about 100whp less. I do cut 1.65 60fts at a track that is 1100ft elevation. Tires are nitto 555's. Street tire.

QTP's are drag radials. I have heard them called the slick with a grooves in them. Little grooves that make them barely drag radials.

Your hp number are off. My 2006 Evo IXwent 11.2@127. It was full wieght @ 3200ft above sea level. My car maybe made 525whp, it was on a stock engine with S2 cams and a SS autochrome turbo and manifold . No where near the parts you have on your car. Id have a boost leak and compression check done to see if anything is off. Here is a link to my vid im the blue Evo
