Slicks vs/or drag radials
Im looking to buy some new tires for my car in a couple months. I wanna go with a slick or a drag radial but dont know pro's/con's of each to make a good decision.
First, I have 17x8 RPF1s I'd like to put them on.
Next, is that I live 70 miles from one track and 90 miles from the other. I'd like to be able to drive to the track on the tires Im gonna run and not have to deal with switching tires at the track. But I do have a set of stock rims w/ street tires I could use n switch tires at the track, if slicks are that much better of a choice.
Looking for some real data on the differences in ET/60ft with each tire.

The m&h slick is awesome I've got 1.5 60's on them but you don't want to drive that far on them. I hear the drag radial is good as well but again you are going to kill the life driving them like that I would do the full slick and just swap them at the track
Personally I would use your spare set of rims and put the m&h slicks on them. I believe that is the only slick available in a 17. Slicks absorb the drivetrain shock due to their soft sidewall, drag radials not so much...plus your 60fts will be better also. Drag radials are parts breakers. Get yourself a electric impact gun and you will get the old rims/tires off in a flash.
My hoosiers are DR not slicks sorry for the confusion. They fit on stock 17" wheels but mine are on 17x8 RPF1's. I pull 1.5 60s all day leaving @ 6400rpm 14psi all the way around with no burnout. Here is a link to them on summit
