Traps vs rpm, 4.11 needed?

I'm looking to see what others are crossing the 1320 at with either a stock FD or a 4.11, and if you use a 4.11, what are your 60'? I read that you can get better than a 1.6 60' if you have a 26" tire.

I'm looking for high nines, staying under 9000rpm, and using my qtp 26"/ fd combo full weight. If I can get away with stock gearing, I'd like that as it's just one more part I'd have to buy. If I stay stock gearing, would I benefit from an evo 9 1st gear?

Thanks for any info

don't know if stock gearing will be enough, but I can say for damn sure that on a 26" tire you'll be way below your RPM limit on 4.11

Ya I heard 60' would suffer on a 26" tire and a 4.11. I guess I'm looking to see what mph equals what rpm in the 1/4 with a stock FD. Like 140=8xxx rpms, 150=8xxx rpms, etc.

I'm looking for high 9s full weight on a 2.2l 6466

I'd love to help more, but I only ran a 26" tire once. It was a 9 sec run, lol, but I wasn't paying attention to rpm or anything on that run.

on a 2.2L i bet you're good with stock FD with 26" tire up to 155mph, you can rev. I played it safe for the 2.4L.

But, I'm sure guys with more experience on 26" tires will get in here and help you when normal people are awake.

I did a 1.59 60ft on 4.11+26" tire.

Variables: 2.4L, I had no 2-step, first time on QTPs

I'm no expert but I think 1.4 is doable on 4.11/26" tire, vehicle weight might hurt it some

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I am full weight pretty much (3200lbs).

So, stock FD I'm guessing on a 26" tire I would be crossing around 8700 with a 140mph speed?

About 8500 with the 4.11 final drive should give you enough MPH for high 9's assuming a good 60 and driver.

I'm on QTP's with stock gearing but I'm not stock weight. 1.62 60ft with 149 being my highest trap around 8700 rpm. Sitting on the limiter a good second before going through the traps.

Thanks for the real world info man. I figured I'd save some coin and go with the stock fd for this year. And I built my 2.2 to rev up to 9k-9500rpms so I figure it can handle it for now.

Thanks

I think 9k would be right at the trap beams on stock FD with 26". I'll let you know in a couple months lol

What clutch will you be using at that rpm?
