Very nice. I did 11.5 @ 118.7 with bolt ons and e85 as well. At the time i dynoed at 398/380. now im at 413/425. i dont know if that would make much of a difference though.

I am still with the same setup.. I just change my Injen pipes and stock intercooler with ETS Race intercooler kit..

It has larger upper pipe..
Maybe I can make a little faster time

I am thinking also to add 40-50hp nitrous from 6000 untill 7500
This rpm range the boost is low.. the torque is lower.. So I think that it is safe to do it..

For safety reason I will decrease 2deg the timing.

Water/Meth or E85 helps the engine to don't detonate and it is very nice stack with nitrous

If I will do this I hope to see 10sec

 

how many psi are you guys running on the stock turbo to make 400+whp?

 

It doesn't matter what psi we have overboost...
Overboost either 45psi either 30psi at 6000rpm we will have only 26 and after 7000 only 23..

With overboost 38psi I hadn't see something more than 30psi in my drag passes..
Because in a drag race the engine is running around 5500-8000

My highest boost that I had run a very cold night was 42psi haha
Stock head studs.. Stock rod studs.. Stock everything...

i feel better. i'm running 28psi to hit the 430-450 range and was frustrated that stock turbos were almost making the same LOL. but if you guys are running over 30psi, then that makes sense. i wonder how long the turbo will last being worked so hard.

 

Overboost we mean the peak boost... You have overboost 28psi but at the rev limit you have only 22...

It doesn't matter what boost are you running at 4000rpm... (28 you.. 38 me..)
Max horsepower you will see around 6500... In this rpm we have both around 25..

But I have more power at lower revs..

So if we race "roll" for example 3000rpm 3rd gear I will be far faster than you...
But from stand race overboost doesn't help somewhere

 

ah, boost taper. gotcha. yes, even my larger turbo still has a bit of taper at higher RPM but not as much as my stock turbo did. i only loose about 2psi so not too bad.

 

maybe its pointless to shift at 8k with a stock turbo?

also do you mean that when you shift rpms drop to 5.500?

Yes but small turbos have big tapper..

 

On the street I peak 30 and usually taper off to 25 or so. On the dyno it was 31 tapering to 27. made 413/425. I did 11.5 when i was at 398whp
