Stock EVO 12.6 in the 1/4 mile

A guy over in Clubwrx.net says a stock EVO ran 12.6 the other day.
What do you guys think about that. I thought that something had to be going on with the car (reflash, boost controller or something).

Have you guys heard about bone stock EVO's running 12.6 without something weird going on?

I doub't it, I'm no pro, but I ran a 13.2 with an intake, boost controller set at ~20psi, and Greddy type-s

Maybe someone was claiming they were stock when they'd really been reflashed or something... who knows, but it does sound a little fishy.

Well, there are some cars known to have defective boost control solenoids.. so a 12.6 is possible with 19psi through redline.. There are some cars that run better than others and baseline much higher. Someone recently beat my time with a 12.8x or something and posted a timeslip for as stock car.

FWIW.. I haven't run the 1/4 in the car since last year, and the car is far from stock now, so I can't even do another run to see if my car got faster with time.. I do remember my 60' time's weren't all that great.. If someone had a stronger car with a defective boost solenoid, and was "driving it like the stole it" I certainly think its possible.. I'd LOVE to see that timeslip though..

Even if every single variable was perfect, temp, elevation, etc. I do not think the Evo is capable of a 12.6 stock. High 12's yes but very rare. Something is up with that car. I am gonna call BS.
