Went to the drag strip today!

Well...it was fun...but my results weren't very good.

Was my first time there and I ended up going twice... in ~4-5 Hours ...
My second run i'll just say I bogged and ended up with 14.7

But here's the timeslip on my first one :
R/T: .512
60': 1.889
330 : 5.738
1/8: 8.912
MPH 77.53
1000: 11.666
1/4: 13.967
MPH: 98.29

I'm not really proud of this or anything, Just posting what I did if anyone is interested

Well Actually I thought I did the first trial pretty well...but I guess i'm not shifting fast enough or something I have a catback, boost controller- 21 lbs, and K&N Intake. So yeah those times aren't too hot. I hope to improve on them soon tho. I also hit the brakes before the end of the quarter mile since the other car had a 15.3 sec time but had a higher trap speed than me... is that possible?

I _tried_ to do a 6k clutch dump...it worked pretty well, I suppose its just all in the shifting.

Outstanding R/T for anyone, let alone a track newbie, what, if any are your mods? Hopefully none.

not bad really , seems close to what alot of people are doing with near stock setup. only you know if you could shift faster. how high up did you rev it. 7000rpm or did you shift early. did you have any wheel spin at 6000 launch if so try 4500 launch this may help. better times seem to be with running 1.7 60ft times. but you speed at the end wasnt bad. seems to say you car is at least average. keep practicing. i am shooting for 12's then i will stop with mods. my first run was a 13.6 with 1.9 60ft at 99mph. best so far 13.4 i did 3 runs and bogges one as well. i ony have cat back and ECU . i could do better as well. maybe would have hit 13.2 if i had stayed longer and got a 1.7 60ft time.

I don't think your performance was to bad, you did get some good 60FT, but I believe your car is capable of mid 13s. Practice makes perfect, when I owned my VR4, it would seem like everytime I went to the track I would learn something new about the car. My previous best in the VR4 was a 13.2@107MPH with all my mods, but I had been practicing a new launch technique and I was sure I would have hit 13.0 or possibly 12.9 if I had a chance to take it back to the track, to bad I wrecked it. It's cool, it just cleared the way for me to get an EVO. So yeah practice makes perfect..
