Evo 8 Built Something Different then most.

This weekend my buddy aaron and I started a project early Friday morning and some how finished it by 9;30 pm Saturday night to make it to a car meet and show it off. Its a little different its not something you can just buy off the shelf which this was the goal tired of seeing all the same turbo kits hope you guys like.

Started as an evo 9 setup(turbo is for sell)

Yeah really different. But I give you guys credit it looks pretty damn good. I would be interested on how much of a gain a project like that would make over a stock mani. Hopefully in your guys case it makes more. Be rewarding to know it made more power with all that hard work then a stock mani does.

Wow, looks really good Zach! You and Aaron did work in such a short amount of time. Can't wait to see the results on power.

looks good. having worked on a car with a turbo kit almost identical to that, i can tell you, you now need to remove the turbo to change out the clutch

It most certainly will/would, however going to a GT35R in the process negates any data for that. And the point of it wasn't to out-do anything. It was merely to try to design and produce one of the cleanest, well engineered turbo systems out there on these cars. Blending aesthetics and function is where the real beauty is.

Thanks buddy! When is your Evo coming over to this coast to hang out for a bit?

Thanks. We cleaned up what needed changed per just the manifold/turbo change compared to the old setup since we were stuck with the existing injectors. It's driving and running quite nicely on minimal boost right now. We're looking forward to pushing it up when the correct injectors show up.

And in regards to that second picture of the CT turbo setup and whatnot. While the gates somewhat appear to be mounted in a similar fashion, you are very aware that the actual placement in the system is vastly different, correct? That would be an awful shame to miss out on that detail!
