Hey Rez90,
While I agree with your points, you don't have to go making threats to the guy.

Were did you guys learn about race gas and trap speeds? What do yall come up with for a projected trap speed for an EVO with a 500 BHP turbo?

im scared of this guy lol.......anyway.....i can guarantee my setup is a 11.7 11.9 car it was my first timeout with the turbo and i have a lag issue that shoudlnt be there that needs to be found, weather it be from stock parts stil on, MAF pipe upperintercooler pipe, or from stock BOV im a slow shifter....i made 412 whp on 96 octane, not too bad and it was 100% humidity....torque low but a lot of lag woudl cause that, its gonna take a little time of playing with it and fine tunning, but to all the Vishnu crew, i stopped bashing you guys a while ago, not because i didnt reach any goal of mine or anything else, i just grew up a bit, i apreciate smogg sticking up for me, but to the few left, id try doing the same.....ive seen many aftemarket turbo kits hitting mid 12's due to some reason or other, ROLLAWAY, but its deff a 11 sec car, just will take a bit.....a guy at Pruven with a yellow evo said the only reaosn rollaway hit 11's was from the wastegate freaking out and ran insane boost...eventually we will find reasons for the cars power and seeing 11's homepefully by NOPI on the 31st....reguardless, i love the machine..

regardless of how much some people want to justify how great this turbo upgrade is...i think that they are just pissed off that they spent $3,000 and are not getting the performance gains that we all hoped for.

Hopefully in the future the tuning glitches or whatever can get worked out and these turbos can actually start making the power that everyone is claiming they are capable of.

until then..........12.6 at 112 sucks. I've seen that done with less than $1,000 in bolt ons

You have to be an idiot. Show me an EVO with <1,000$ of Bolt on's that can hit 112 MPH!!! I hope you were kidding cause if not you dont know your own car dude. A full exhaust alone is anywhere from 800-1500. And I can tell you, you aint gonna hit 112 trap speeds with an exhaust, let alone a 12.6. And remember, thats ET is with MUCHO lag. If he gets rid of that lag with some new piping, that 12.6 turns to a 12.1. Good luck Kev!!!

I just dont understand if Buschur has run a 11.7 @ 117mph with the stock turbo and race gas than th BR500 should with at least another 100hp be good for a 11.0 at 125 mph ..

Did you call Daivd at Buschur?????? What did he say????? Get the rest of the Buschur parts for Stage 1-4...which you should have done before you got the BR500..... and you should be getting around 500whp....Follow their upgrade sequence...

Seriously -- I am considering purchasing this turbo kit, but have decided to wait and see how it works out for people first...so I am very interested in the final outcome...

good luck on fixing your issues and please keep us posted....

-Doug

so i wish i was near 12.0-12.2 but didnt get it, when the thing spools up its sick, but in between each shift you get a fraction of a second where it needs to spool, if i got rid of that 12.0 deff i think, maybe 11's.....but for now im happy MPH is good i think with a spooling problem and i learned to slip the clutch pretty good i think too.....guy hit the wall at 138 mph and shatered his car, he was fine but it was scary, he ran a 10.7 spinning into center of track then crashing into wall then crossing finish line with that ET!!!! sick!! any info on the spooling issue please feel the need to help!! thank!

Look at that... welcome to my world.. big turbo.. more hp and running 12s..lol
there are quite a lot of simple little issues you may be having.. i have ran a few of them...did you look at your boost gauge and seen if it was tapering off?? check for leaks and the usual ....good luck
with 400+whp 112mph is not very good ive ran on stock turbo 113mph with 335whp... def check your car and check for the little problems

i might have found the problem with the nut on the wastegate actuator, theres a long pipe, with threads on it and a nut at thwe end that you can adjust, this might have somehting to do with it..

That adjustable wastegate rod simply adjusts the preload on the wastegate, in effect allowing you to choose your base spring pressure. It really won't have any significant influence on transient boost lag unless the spring rate is soo weak that exhaust backpressure is cracking it open even at low RPM. But I'm sure Dave B. would have accounted for such a thing.
