what rpm are you launching at. I've made 4 passes at a dragstrip. Stock clutch my best 60ft is 1.92 slipping the clutch at 5500rpms. anything over 5500rpms, the most I have tried is 5900, and break loose and then bog. If I get brave next tuesday I'm gonna try a 6200-6300 rpm launch. the track I go to is a horrible track. the next closes track I can go to is alot better, but it's 1 1/2 hour drive. everyone that goes there says they run aleast 2-4 tenths faster in the 8th and turn pretty good quarter miles. I guess I"m gonna have to make a trip up there. would it make a difference that my car just hit the 2000 mile mark. just wondering. I know some cars ecu's run rich for the first 3-4000 miles as a brake in period.

with my old pirelli's i was dropping the clutch at 6500rpm and breaking the tires loose running 1.6xs. This time with the new tires I'm experimenting. I started at 6000rpm slipping clutch and worked up to 7000rpm dropping clutch. I think the best for my car right now is about 6400rpm with a slight slip then letting go. I'll have to find out this weekend.
The place where I ran my 1.42 is 1/8thmi. I haven't been able to get out of the 8.1 range there. At MIR a 1/4mi track I've run 7.9s. MIR definetly has more money to keep the track in better condition. It also depends on the day too. I'm definetly looking forward to some cooler weather.
