Anyone can spend unlimited money and time modifying ANY car. Big deal, the evo's with that ancient engine have more parts swapped into them so they make good #'s. Probably most of the STi's were near stock. We all know that the way the cars come from the factory, STi will walk evo's, and even more now with the '05.

EDIT:

POST SUCH AS THIS ARE DIME A DOZEN. PLEASE KEEP YOUR COMMENTS IN THE SPIRIT OF TODAYS EVENT. STI AND EVO OWNERS ENJOYING THE DAY, THEIR CARS AND THE KNOWLEDGE WE OWN THE TWO FINEST SPORTS COMPACTS AVAILABLE. IF YOUR INTENT IS TO START OF FIGHT, DON'T POST.

the engine in evo's is a much better design than some POS subaru imo. i work on both just my opinion based on experience.

WHO THE F@## IS THIS. Excuses Excuses. My Car will Own a 05 sti any day of the week. You would have to be an idiot to run your car stock. Listen EVO WITH PARTS AND TUNING WILL >STI. The only Sti that ran good Probably had a Turbo Upgrade. Marcus is that you in disguise I know you are an Evo hater. You are just mad you drive an Sti. You know if you could turn back the Hands of time you would have made the right at the Mitsu dealer instead of going Left to th ****%Y I dealer.

I was in the group from Delaware that drove up today. 7 Evo's and my buddies STI. All you guys were real cool nice to meet all of you. I ran low 12's all day. I qualified 4th in the shootout with a 12.1 @113.7. Unfortunately fell asleep at the tree and got killed out of the hole by a rex running 12.5's almost caught him and missed 4th and still ran a 12.3 @111 but he crossed the line first. That last run mighta been good for a 12 flat without the missed shift. All in all it was awesome, meant lots of cool people and had a great time.

I have to say that the event was amazing. Lots of fast cars, and no beef between evo and wrx owners. Everything went smoothly, and the show and race both went off without a hitch. I do have to say that in particular us Evo-NY and DynoFlash guys dominated! of the cars in the Heads Up category, 5 were tuned by DynoFlash, including Paul's car (an Evo-NY member) which won the Head's Up race and the show, Mike's car (another Evo-NY member) that finished 2nd in the bracket racing, and my car that went 12.2 @ 110 mph. Overall, the event was spectacular and I can't wait till next year!

How do you figure low 10s is slow? All the big guns were not hitting their hardest today unfortunately, there's always another day.

May this be a leason to all the bone heads who run their mouths about 2.5 blocks and close ratio speeds talking **** about "****subishi"... the turn out today was amazing, almost everyone was under 12.5 and every one was consistant. Great turn out fron evo ny and big props too boost solutions, even though they were still tuning the ems, they made their presence. all my friends i had come with me have a new found respect for evo and potential our 2 litre's awhp. thanks to everyone for showing up, looking forward to the second anual wrx vs evo shoot out!!!
