If my setup gets done I'll bring it out for a twisties shootout.. I think my car should be dialed in for a road coarse.. Ya think I'll be accused of cheating?

Ya,I know what you mean by slipping clutch ,by the last round of time trials my stock clutch was shot, and I mean shot .1st round of elim. I barely made it to the line without being pushed, but when the lights dropped I rev'ed her up and let her go,only slipped until it warmed up,BANG,1.79 60',lucky for me the subie I was racing broke and I coasted to a humiliating 20 second et at 40 mph,had to save for round 2. Was really doubting if I could make it up to starting line again.
Ran a stock looking STI that had a 13.95 dial,so I dialed up to a 13.12,figure if clutch did the same again i could run him down.Left with a pathetic 1.84 60' and was passing by half track, paced him staying 1/2 car in front of him,and let off at finish line, still broke out @ a 12.84@95 mph.Oh well, thats racing.Hard to make a
good dial in/ pass with a puked clutch.Hardest thing of event was trying to get up those ramps onto trailer to bring it home.See you all next time.

Well, guess what Javier(import events organizer at E-town) have in store for next year's event? He is planning a drag race/Auto cross event for the 2nd Evo/WRX shootout!! Not only do you have to do well on the strip but you have to show you can turn as well. Nothing set on stone yet but at least he guaranteed us another shootout for sure.

GREAT JOB GUYS , U-R-A-BUS,

I knew the 4G63 would kill those guys,And for the facts Ive read in the new motor trend that the new 05 STI's are a hair slower since they had to compensate for all the knock they where having on the older STI's

I always knew the evo was the best and now the Slow Barus know it...Or they always knew but didnt want to admit it,I actually like STI for the guages and interior but other then that evo owns

Props to all the guys that represented...Especially DynoFlash

they are just upset...they meant like a track day. someone should set something up. I'd do it, but im in FL so im pretty useless. make a track day...evo vs. sti...road course. And shut them down for round 2.

Understood: No one was running their best that's the answer. Even Al was way off with his 11.3. Next time.

Ron did you have a hard time pulling into second? You had a good jump on Paul but looks like a misshift costed you. YOu almost caught up at the end also. What a close race!

Hey ...

good to meet alot of you on saturday. It was a good day for evo's. As far as our car .. Jeff was running those radials for the first time, he had alot of problems with the car hooking. He spun into 3rd gear .. We have bfg's .. but we're waiting on rims.
