You'll want a shop to do it for you. It requires dropping the diff.

you do NOT have to drop the diff...you take one bolt out and back the other one out just far enough to remove the one side. pull out the stock rubber bushings put in your new ones and put the bolt in just a few threads take out the other side repeat. tighten them both up.

if you have a cordless impact gun it takes about 10 minutes to do.

just note the beatrush bushings have a thin one for the top and thick for the bottom.

I just installed an ACT Heavy Duty full disc Clutch to replace the stock clutch. When shifting hard I also get the sledghammer affect Rez90 so clearly describes. LOL. I have to laugh, it is funny.
Seems obvious that this is due to torque levels applied to rear diff.
Warrtalon, is this an idea of yours, which sounds like a good one, or is it a real life solution to this noise.?

DUH> I should have read the thread further, I am on my way to get the BEATRUSH replacements. Sounds like this will do the trick!

I am guessing he meant solid urethane mount, perhaps. Just a guess...

FYI AMS has a solid front lower mount as a part of their lightweight front member brace. Buschur's bar has a poly mount.

Personally, I have an AMS front mount and powerflex side mounts. Car will obviously transmit engine vibrations. I didnt do the rear mount as that supposedly transmits the most vibration. 3 should be adequte. Time will tell..

Hope this helps someone looking!

How many people are getting the thump on 03-04 Evos? I've mainly noticed it on the ACD cars only.
