Oh yeah heres my experience drifting in a big empty parking lot on a rainy night. With only 1500 miles on my ride and no burnouts on the advans, it is real hard to get the rear end loose and getting all 4 tires to lose grip. I would drift for a few seconds and the tires would regain traction. Im going to wait until I put more miles on the tires before I go start sliding around again because damn these advans are no good for drifting.

My understanding is that race tires don't squeal much, while street tires do. At least, at my autocross events, those on stock rubber squeal like crazy, my performance street tires squeal a little, and those on low treadware competition tires almost never squeal.

what is with everyone saying ff cars cant drift! i mean its not the same type of drifting as a fr car. True we do "***-drag" but there are also other ways such as left foot braking which can be used to counter the gas at the same time while your turning which is a common technique used by ff racers and drifters a like

oh btw i didn't use my car for the donuts... sooo .. yeah .. neways i got a question about this drifting thing . . this would b the most ridiculous stupid question ever.. but some cars have abs... that means u can't drift wif abs! or can u ?ehhhh.... why is is that some ppl actually attempt to drift with automatics? is it possible? i still haven't really figured out what drifting means becuase everyone seems to b having differnet opinions on drifting. so yeah . . anyone got elaborate details ?

actually, that's a good question. ABS by itself should still allow a car to drift as long as you're not using the brakes to get into the drift. But some cars incorporate a Traction Control system with their ABS, which would hinder drifting, since that is what cuts the power from the engine and/or differential when the wheels break traction.

As for the other question, drifting should be possible with any car that has the right suspension setup (as long as you can get the rear tires loose before the fronts and not roll), including automatics, sedans, etc.
