The Monaco is a low-cut style from our Race Performance line of shoes. As in all our Race Performance shoes, it has our patented Roll Control™ heel, fire resistant DuPont NOMEX® lining, and is reinforced on the lateral side of the right shoe for the proper heel-&-toe downshifting feel whether you’re on the track or street. The Monaco has been worn by drivers like Chad McQueen (Steve’s son), World Rally Champion Colin McRae and Formula One World Champion Phil Hill. They feel just as comfortable on the street as they do at the track—just talk to automotive journalists, auto company executives and car enthusiasts around the world.

Oh yeah, love flip flops, especially when they get caught in between the pedal and the floor

Progress report:

I had a set of older Sparco Circuits (I believe) in all blue with old boring soles, unlike the new ones. I LOVED the feel of them, never had any issues and they gave a ton of feedback from the dead pedal (something people don't think about that is of some importance to many drivers like myself). They finally ripped yesterday...

They took a tear on the right shoe just above my pinky toe, likely from rubbing on the tranny tunnel. This is annoying and used to be my complaint for older Piloti's.

Regardless, I think I'm taking a trip to Wine Country to pick up the newest Circuits from Sparco. The shoes have been great and I'll continue raping my wallet for them!

Edit:
Just looked through the Sparco lineup and saw the Super Speedway and noticed its made of leather-- if anyone has had issues with tearing the sides of their shoes, probably worth the money... maybe not.

I don't have any dedicated driving shoes but I currently use these and they seem to work well:

I recently got Piloti Prototipos and I am not impressed at all. Not very comfortable and not very good for driving either.

I'll stck with my old Adidas shelltoes or my Puma speedcats.

^^^ You guys are crazy! I got my Piloti Prototipo's at the beginning of the summer and I love them. They are fantastic for driving and so comfortable I could wear them everyday. I don't though. So far I've managed to save them for driving only.

I wear my Prototipos as street shoes, I find my Chuck Taylors are better for driving.

I have been wearing the prototipos every day with hopes of them breaking in and getting more comfortable and better to drive in.

Not to mention the fact that I don't want to waste about 100 bucks....

If you got them the beginning of the year, you may have gotten an "old" batch.. they changed the place of manufacture, and the comfort dramatically changed. The new ones suck.. too stiff, no feedback, and frankly not that comfortable.

All time favorite

Alright but a bit to thick

Great pedal feel, but don't come close to the ones above
