clutch issue? Or do i just suck at driving?

So I bought the car about a month ago...and it came w/ an Exedy Twin Stage 4 clutch and flywheel installed. Took a little getting used to as my previous car was an integra w/ stock clutch...i'm smoother now...except for on steep hills: When i rev the engine (maybe like 3K+ rpms ) and disengage the clutch slowly the car jerks REALLY hard until the clutch engages fully...and when i let it out too quickly the car goes reallly slow and has almost no power (feels like i started in 3rd gear)...until the RPMs build up; unless its a realllly steep hill then it'll just creep along and almost die out until i disengage the clutch a li'l and rev it up a bit. Do i just need more practice or is there an issue w/ the clutch?. i kno i'm a n00b...flame all u want.

You need more practice driving it. Aftermarket clutches are never as easy to drive as stock.

This is an evo thing. It may be the awd that causes it to do that but I know exactly what your talking about. It takes time to get used to it.

yeah dont worry about it, no doubt the clutch is heavier than the integra you've driven. do u use the e-brake at all when you start from a slant?

what i do is use the e brake, blip the throttle till it gets to about 3,500 rpms, and then on the last "blip" clutch out slowly while maintaining constant pressure on the throttle keeping the revs at about 3,000 rpms

It just takes practice. A lot of people along with myself use the park brake on a hill so you are able to use the clutch and throttle while still being stopped. I used to have the same problems.
