Ok so sorry for the slight hijack but I didn't always grow up in such a "warm" climate as Maryland but was told that if you use the EBrake and it gets really cold (like freezing) the EBrake could freeze on!

So my questions are:
A. Do you believe this?
B. If you do believe it, does it affect your thoughts on using the EBrake?

it could stick in place if it gets rusted from being in place for a while from salt and snow, but continual use of the ebrake usually doesnt alow it to stick. either rust or bad caliper/bracket would cause it to stick.

This is very true, especially with semi metallic pads of the older days. I've driven FWD cars for blocks with a rear tire completely frozen up in Washington. If it's cold enough to freeze, it is something to consider.

it happened with me on the older truck. and not actually the pads got froze. The e-break line got frozen. Water got into it, and naturally froze and stuck. Luckily that was a start of the winter and after noon was much warmer. So it melted and we could use a truck.
I never heard a same on the evo. Not impossible though.

neutral with the e-brake of course.
there arent many hills for about 50 miles.
and car thieves around here arent smart enuff to cut ebrake lines if they tried to steal it.

Neutral unless in on an incline. The turbo timer usually dictates who does what.

I always leave it in gear with the parking brake. Always in first gear but if it's facing downhill I put it in reverse.

Unless I am on a steep incline, I curb tires and leave it in gear with e-brake pulled.
I also start usually pressing in the clutch, no turbo timer and have alway had manual drive whips.
