Wow, a $3900 clutch for a Colt! Must be a serious Colt since that clutch costs about 10 times more than the car ! I wouldn't spend that on my evo's clutch nor could I afford it, your job must pay very well Good luck with the Colt!

thanks dan, but it was just a price quote. and the only reason i mentioned the colt is because it has a mitsu tranny so therefore the deviation in price for an evo wouldnt be that far off. the job does pay well tho .

ken this is why i think that the tilton triple disk is the last step before the slipper.basically its what bergenholtz are using on the profwd mazda 6 car, and the only step after that for them is a slipper clutch. this one has that crazy hydraulic throw out bearing right behind the diaphram of the pressure plate it doesnt use a lever and slave cylinder. that gives better control over such a crazy torque capacity clutch, it cant react as good and consistent as a slipper clutch cuz its only as responsive and consistent as the driver can be to wheel spin.

tilton is overkill, and slipper is worthless to anyone on this board. holding power is not the issue. there is a difference between breaking and sliping.
